Isolation V2 is the exact same as the first Isolation map. The only difference is you cannot use the entire pillar. Just the top and a little below the top of the pillar. 4v4 or 8v8 Red vs Blue. ^.^ Enjoy Blue side and showing a good portion of the map and use of the pillar. Blue base showing the cannon to the rock garden along with other ways around the map. This is the cannon on red base, same as blue. Backway on blue base. *NOTE: all the bases are the exact same* With this map, it is the basic top and semi lower structure from the first Isolation map. Only with this one you can't use the whole pillar. 4v4 or 8v8 Red vs Blue.
Thanks for checking out my map and giving feedback. The map is a pretty decent size and having structures that are easy and simple for players to move around in is what makes gameplay run smooth. The only structure I didn't make myself was the Round Bunker. If you haven't played on it yet, I would give it a shot with a full party of 8 people Let me know what you think ^.^
Well, I'll start with this. There's a reason Pinnacle sucked. I like that you're trying to use the pillar for a map, something I've rarely ever seen. Your main problem is that you haven't developed a unique forging style. You're using the pieces the way Bungie envisioned, and there aren't many maps that turned out well like that. I'd encourage you to look at some of the maps on the site, check out the Featured maps and Forge Hub Favorites, look carefully at the ways these forgers use each piece, and learn from it. You have potential, you love doing it, but you lack experience. Just look, learn, improve. All there is to it.
Thanks for giving feedback on the map. I really do appreciate it. The Pillar was a challenge spot. I don't expect everyone to like this and I am still pretty new to forging. When I make maps I try to make sure they flow smoothly. I design my own structures and even if they are simple that's fine because then people playing the map can play with no trouble. I know I have a lot to learn still but I make these for fun If people don't like them, that's fine because I enjoy playing on them with family and friends. I have made over 20 maps and posted a few on here before. I have 3 more maps I still need to post. Everyone has their own style and some are favored more than others. I appreciate every type of feedback though I check out other peoples maps and see if I can use any as a reference but in the end the maps I make are completely mine. If you like them, awesome! if you don't, that's fine and I thank you for checking them out
You're welcome. I guess I could sum up my opinion on this map. I like how you're building where most forgers don't, you're original, but the execution-just small details here and there- could improve your map a lot.
There are a couple of things I don't like about this map. 1. You used too many bridges IMO. They aren't good for gameplay due to the narrowness, so a bad jump could lead you to a long, annoying fall. 2. The aesthetics aren't what they could have been. The map doesn't look....real, if that makes sense. You have rocks and bridges just floating around and the 4 rocks in the center look out of place and unnatural. Aside from those and a couple other things this doesn't look too bad. It's looks smooth, which is always a plus.
Dark Hole, this is pretty much my advice, but I'd like to add a few things. Aside from being able to fall off bridges, they cause linear gameplay. You either back up and shoot, or you keep going and shoot, so there's no way to get to cover, which shouldn't happen. The aesthetics could be improved if you varied your pieces, and make them look good together. Also, when you have buildings just floating in the air, it just looks weird. Like, on the middle building. Instead of rocks, you could put a column, or a 1x1 block. It'd look more natural, but serve the same purpose.
