I make games that are balanced for everyone, where anyone can win with the right luck.

This is a snowball fight, taken out of the schoolyard. The players can only score points by throwing snowballs (plasma grenades), of which there are many. A plasma pistol is available, but useless. Likewise, assassinations are disabled.

The most points are scored by tagging the leader, who is coloured Gold. Each player has five lives, so suicides are not encouraged. The game is separated into three rounds, and the total points leader at the end of the game wins.

The players aren't defenseless, however. They have two loadout abilities: Cobra, which lets a player dodge like a snake; and Bear, which lets them become a living tank.

The map has a red base and a blue base, on top of which has the most snowballs. A flag and campfire are in the center of the resort. Along the farthest walls are teleports to allow escape, but they are quite similar to Pac-Man in their functionality.

This is a link to a video showcasing how the game plays from a 3rd person perspective.

This is a link to a video of the same game from an overhead perspective.

Please enjoy this game, and I look forward to all encouragement and criticism. Thank you.

I like the idea of the map that has a "snowball fight" kinda theme to it. You should make the map bigger and put more stuff on the map such as cover, walls and blocks. But I'll downloaded later this week to play it. Well Done with the theme.

    Thanks for the comment.

The origins of this game date back to the original Xbox, where custom games allowed for infinite grenades. The first Snowball Fight was played on Warlock, and was an absolute howl. We had our first 16-player tournament (yes, tournament) which was a 6-hour event consisting of 10 guys and 6 gals. A friend who had never played Halo before was the final winner, as her fluke snowball did a Hail Mary right onto the top ranked's face. We had trophies.

I chose this area for the Armadillo Ski Resort because I felt it was the perfect size. It wasn't so big that 2 people would get lost, and it was just big enough to host 16 chaotic players.

As for "cover" items, I wanted them mostly gone. I want my grandmother to be able to toss a high grenade and tag anyone. This isn't a map for skill, it's a map for fun. There are four covered areas (the two bases, and the walled teleports), and two walled areas (the far corner teleports). Several lifts are added into the play field, and I've seen so many competitors use those to no advantage whatsoever.

This is what's so great about this game being an equalizer: Skilled players THINK that they can find some glitch or manipulation of the lifts, so they head there. A lone grenade spawns every so often at the nexus of their oscillation. Meanwhile, every other player has access to all the other grenades and can freely pick off that skilled player. Also, it's damned tough to get out of that lift without taking massive damage or outright dying.

And with scoring, a player will earn 1 point for a suicide. This makes it so that no one is left with a score of zero (unless luck just really isn't on their side).

It's a fast, fun, feel good game. I still look forward to suggestions and criticisms, so please play it with your partner or a family member, and speak your mind.

I do like this concept a lot actually, have multiple times tried to modify a loadout to be JUST stickies, no weapons, but never really had the map for it either, great upload! an updated/expanded version of the map would be something to consider

    Thanks for the encouragement.

You're the second person to mention expanding the map. To this I ask, have you played it with 8 or more players as of yet?

I'll provide that I've dabbled with constructing other playfields for the gametype. To be honest, I'd rather hone in on tweaking the snowball fight gametype to allow teams (which has successfully eluded me as of yet -- perhaps during the holiday vacation I can work on it).

Please let me know how your games go. I look forward to more input.
