Hi all, I'm new to forgehub but have dabbled in forging for the past year. This map was my first forged map, which I left for a while then came back to later to finish up. It was originally called 'elimination race' but I later changed it to 'Hazard County' when I completed my edits. My goals when building this map were: 1) Build a hybrid, wide track race course that would span all of forge world. 2) Build an obstacle course that has many traps, hazards, and alternate paths to trick, kill, or slow racers. 3) Make it compatible with both mongooses and warthogs. Since I started my edits to this map, I also started perusing sites such as this and others to observe other people's work. I realized that my original goals were not realistic or efficient and would not have them for another map, but I decided to finish the map anyway. I realize colosseum walls are not ideal for race tracks, but considering my first goal, I thought it was the most efficient option. My map might look like a jumbled mess compared to the nice tailored double wides of others, but I hope people have fun with it anyway. Starting area with 15 sec gate Beware the artillery testing range Track middle portion 1 of the many points where you have to choose wisely: Last portion of track descends into the water and ends at top of spire: The top of the spire has a launching ramp if players wanted a game with multiple laps, but considering each lap can take 5 minutes or more, I figured it wont get used hehe.
Dude This race was fun to play. You showed this to me. I'm so happy the rest of the world can see you map. PEACE
make is shorter and try not to engulf the whole of forge world in doing so. A smaller more detailed race is better than a massive one that spans the entire map and is made out of only coliseum walls. also never ever use walkway cover larges in a race course, they suck and the bump/ramp at the end just doesn't work. but its better than some i've seen so congrats.
