*NOTE: THIS MAP/GAMETYPE IS NO LONGER ON MY FILE SHARE, SORRY* It all began about 4 years ago. A few of my friends played a game-type called "pirate sharks" for halo 3. The map and game-type inspired hours of endless gaming. Huge system links would happen every weekend and we played the sh*t out of that game-type. Here is a link for the Halo 3 gametype, if you wanna try it out first, to compare. And the Halo 3 map that goes with it. And now, for quite possibly the first time ever on halo reach, pirate sharks returns. It is just as fun, if not better. Trust me. What it is basically is an infection gametype where humans are encouraged and advantaged to drive warthogs and mongooses and avoid the zombie horde. Who doesn't love ripping around in warthogs? With zombies everywhere. It's awesome. The humans spawn with magnum and sword, ammo is limited. And the zombies spawn with shotgun and sword, unlimited ammo. My friend and I worked hard on testing the gametype to a tea for maximum playability and intense round after round gore. I then forged "Pirate Hemorrhage" along with the pirate sharks gametype. This is the first map we have made for the gametype. I'm sure there will be more made. But this time, I incorporate a darker and more gloomy type of theme, with the use of special FX and some erie architecture It works well with black zombies too. What makes it so fun is the realness of evading zombies. They are sprinting at you, keeping up with the warthog's speed. Slashing and shooting. It makes for intense gameplay. Me, I PAINTS I along with FantasticNoob79 will be running custom game lobbies of pirate sharks. So I hope you all enjoy and join us online. Here's some epic screens:
I would probably change the design of the bases, the bits you added to them looks great but doesnt go with the original bases. You should delete them and design them orientate around the gametype, maybe to specifically house the warthog. The gametype looks awesome though, you are so right, ripping up in the warthog is sooo fun. It reminds me of that map on Sandtrap. You gpt every weapon and vehicle and the zombies were as fast as they can be. Good times.
It doesn't really look like you changed much about the actual map, I'd recommend adding some platforms or arches to drive on as a human. If you want, I can help you out with that this weekend. Anyways, it's a great gametype, good job recreating it.
Yeah our goal at the time was to recreate the gametype and give it a little extra Reach flair. We also worked on another map called The Seven Seas, its a really long loop with ramps we threw in and a few extra goodies. The loop is a lot bigger but has the Hemorrhage part of Forge world in the map too. Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details Hopefully we can get a big community going for Pirate Sharks again. Spread the gametype, show it to people who used to play it on Halo 3 or people who like awesome gametypes like this.
