My second map i have forged. I feel like I have really gotten better at forging and I am hoping to get better and make better maps. Its called risen because it is in mid air. Its a competitive map for those who like a challenge. It's a slayer map. It took about 4 hrs. approx. to make and i would like it tested or reviewed please. Weapons: x2 DMR x1 Rocket Launcher x1 Pro Pipe (Grenade Launcher) x1 Sniper x2 Plasmas x2 Frags
Checked it out, appreciate the effort. My only gripe is that I'm not one for huge open spaces without much cover, it seems incomplete and doesn't lend itself well to the competitive structure. The only way to go about those huge spaces is with vehicles, but I can tell you weren't aiming for that with this map, nor is it the size of a BTB map. I understand you have glass cover there, but there is little reason to ever venture into those open spaces and they are very prominent. Aesthetically I LOVE the use of the filter. Like many, I usually shun them, but in this case it adds so much. Near the water it has the look of a summer storm brewing, very ominous. I love it for that alone.
This is actually really good for the time you say you put into it. I agree though that there is too much open area. This doesn't make good for a comp. game but it would make casual gaming good with vehicles. Just my two cents.
