I looked up videos on youtube about playfire and none of them had anything to do with getting hacked. They were all tutorials about how to add videos and people wanting more friends on the site. So whoever is getting hacked is being hacked by somebody else and not the site so there is nothing to worry about.
Looking up videos from a particular site isn't proof of anything. Not everyone has a credit card linked to their account and whoever is doing the hacking could be one of the staff of the site and not everyone behind it. Not sure why you're pushing it so strongly but the point is if some people have been hacked and the common link is this site then the easiest thing to do is avoid it and not encourage people to go there Also has anyone contacted Microsoft regarding the site. I'm sure their legal team would love to look into this.
I haven't really had the chance to be honest... Work sucks and stuffs... I barely had enough time to get on my xbox last night to tell people not to sign up until it's proven to be a decent site.
Woo, I'm lucky I don't sign up for **** that isn't Bungie.net, Call of Duty Elite or Xbox.com I'll sticky this though, thanks Steve for the warning.
Well I got an xbox message from a friend yesterday saying blahblahblah playfire.com, so I don't think so
As long as people keep falling for it the virus spreads and it will keep going. After a long time it will be endemic and the people will probably take the website down but until people stop falling for it that won't happen.
I actually got a PM too for this Playfire website. I guess I'll have to make a public service announcement on my friends list, YouTube and social networks.
A mention in the next site update would be good too, whenever that is. I don't think it needs its own announcement though.
My account has been a victim to an unauthorized access. Back in mid September, my account was recovered on another xbox, then $150 was spent on ms points, 10000 ms points to be exact. I know for a fact i wasn't foolishly trick into putting my info on phishing sites or part of social engineering. Im not the only one this has happen to. In the past 4 months, thousands of other xbox live accounts were hijack and used to purchase microsoft points; mostly likely for the FIFA 12 virtual trading cards.
I don't recall anything happening on my Account... I did just have an automatic xbl gold renewal for a year that somehow passed on an expired credit card but meh I doubt account hackers would renew my subscription for me... Other than that after changing my password and leaving only and expired credit card behind, I've had nothin go wrong. Where could someone notify Microsoft about this site to be investigated?
