Something like that. Like how does it cause framerate issues and how do those issues affect gameplay?
i made a race on ridgeline and used all the rocks in a small are and it didn't cause any lag at all i honestly prefer the moss covered rocks over the plain FW rocks sad the flat rock that was in tempest isn't on ridgeline:c
Ridgeline is now going to be my main map for forging, it's what I've been asking for for years; an atmospheric forest map with forgeable trees! YES! I can't wait to finally make the living dead forest map I've been thinking of for years on it!
Um...framerate is how many framers-per-second your screen updates. If the framerate drops because of (say the mossy rock that organite talked about) then your screen updates less frequently then someone who isn't having that problem. That updating less frequently results in lag which is visually seen through the game seeming more clunky. Sometimes in halo the player will still move smoothly but the environment will start to flicker if a drop in framerate occures. Fixed it for ya.
LOL, yeah, ONE tree. I am overly dissapointed in the forge canvasses. Nothing spectacularly new at all. Kinda sucks.
It turns out that ridgeline is much more suitable for creating new environments than I had originally thought. With the moss covered rocks, you can blend/phase them together much better than on FW. And the moss also gives a more "ancient" appearance to the rock structures. I have not seen any frame rate issues with split screen using the rocks or forgeable trees, and I have used half the rocks and 2 trees thus far.
I still think it was a dissapointment. I figured they would give us something awesome with the new textures, yet still big enough to make a sizable map. And still something equivalent to the wall coliseums and brace larges that are so relyable when forging. And the one tree is kind of a joke in my opinion.
I did use them to make a mind-**** room where the rocks are the ceiling and the trees come out of it upside down. Aside from it being adjacent to the waterfall everything feels like it's upside down. Then when you get used to that it feels like the waterfall is going up. Very disorienting. lol
yeah i got halo CEA at midnight launch yes you are able to use forge and able to integrate the maps into reach with a special code that you get at midnight launch or it comes with it im not quite sure but the only disapointment to me was there was no forge world and my reach broke so..... im gettin one for xmas so its all good......anyways (sorry getting off subject) you are able to use all of the items that are availible in reach except the reach campaign... but you only get a limited option of maps in firefight, custom game, forge, and matchmaking and you only get a limited option of game lobbys for matchmaking so you cant use any reach matchmaking lobbys (lobbys= team swat, team snipers,living dead, etc.) for living dead you do have that option at some time in anniversary FFA (free for all)
