Uhm... so first off, sorry if this is the wrong topic, but I never use these forums, and this looked to be my best bet.

Do any of you guys know how to fix an Err2Err3 message, I have a program on a disc that is supposed to fix it, but I can't seem to get the program to start up, I made my disc drive the fist driver in the boot settings, I'm about to give up and just get a new comp at this point i'll try anything =S

err 2 err 3 is a failure of the disk drive correctly display the right partitions.

the easiest fix is the open the computer and take the hard drive out, unscrew it and blow out the dust. screw back together then put it back in. :)

I did ask whether you were OK with opening it up....

That said, are you sure that'll fix it, FBU?

I hear this issue generally comes down to a corrupted partition map on the drive itself, rather than a physical problem with the drive connection. I still think booting from a CD to try and repair the partition is your best shot, if FBU's advice doesn't work of course.
