I need some help with FFA spawning. The map I made has it to where it is easy to get spawn kills. Any tips would be useful and greatly appreciated.

I make it where 3 seconds after you spawn you are invernable, move at 50%, are assasination-proof, and can deal no damage.

Maps should have good spawns so it's not necessary to build custom gametypes for them.

This page gives the basics of the reach spawn engine which you will need to understand before you can grasp some of the more complex spawn methods.

Although it can lead to overloading the spawn system and doesn't work on most maps, if you understand this you should be able to build your own spawn system unique to your map.

It sounds like you need plenty of Respawn Points assigned to the neutral team and place them with cover to protect the players as they respawn.

In FFA, you typically do not use Respawn Zones of any kind, and I highly recommend that you avoid using them. See the articles at Forging Reach on the topic of spawning.

Also look at Bungie maps. I don't know of any Bungie map that uses Respawn Zones for FFA, and they very rarely use Anti Respawn Zones, and where they do they don't use them correctly (e.g., Condemned has four, but none have a volume assigned; Sword Base has some, but they are used to prevent enemy spawning near an objective without success).

In the end, let the spawn engine choose for you and have your map provide cover for the respawn points.
