Crossing the divide is a large BTB map consisting of two opposing bases across a canyon joined by two bridges, one designed for vehicles, the other, players.

Each team side consists of 3 bases. The primary base houses a Warthog, Falcon and a Wraith on slow respawn. It also contains a Grenade Launcher.

During Assault and CTF gametypes this base also houses the objective. These bases are identical to those on another map I have produced in the past.

As well as the primary base there is secondary one which contains a mounted Shade Turret, as well as a DMR and Plasma grenades. This base is also where the Bomb spawns on the Assault gametype.

The final base is the Sniper tower which overlooks the map in almost its entirity either side, including the two bridges.

The vehicle bridge is designed to allow quick access between bases for Warthogs and little else. Wraiths cannot pass over either bridge and thus those that utlise them must either defend the primary base or resort to shelling Plasma blasts at range. The centre of the base houses a Rocket Launcher on slow respawn amongst other things.

The second bridge is a mult-tiered asymetrical design with both grav lifts and a variety of weapons housed within. For quick access across the bridge there is a Man cannon either side. Similarly there is a man cannon on the very lowest level for access to the other bridge (though you have to approach from behind to utilise it)

This bridge houses a Spartan Laser and a Shotgun within it's levels.

The final secret of this map is at it's lowest level which houses either a Rocket-Hog or a Neutral Bomb/Flag depending on the gametype.

Whilst in the Rocket Hog you can only escape the bridge by driving into the man cannon which will propel you across the map to the other bridge. Rather crude I'll admit, but certainly fun. (Particularly when you realise that if you aim with the rocket launcher just right from the other bridge you can actually fire the rocket hog to you, damaged but functional)

So there is is. I think the map is fun and expansive enough for BTB and objective gametypes, but with enough about it to make it enjoyable and a varied experiece. Let me know what you think.

Cool looking map, but it really isn't original. In Community BTB three maps were in this format and one now stands in the permenant BTB playlist. I've had enough of them to put it bluntly. However, I like the idea of restricting the wraiths from crossing the map. It is a huge problem on lots of Big Team maps.

I suspect some frame rate across that bridge, that's a lot of pieces you have so close together. I also think your main objective was making a bridge to connect these two areas of forge world. For a BTB map that's isn't anywhere much of space needed to hold 16 people. I also think once you made your bridge, you rushed everything else, I see many preset buildings Bungie made. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, It would be better if you took more time on it, the map looks rushed.

I think it has a good use of pre-made buildings. But it would be better with more rocks, I believe.

The use of structural peices is really good, and the bases look simple, yet decorative. This looks solid for some real BTB/Objective action.
