Reconcile Created by Black Theorem and Reflex lon Recommended Gametypes: Throwdown Recommended Players: 4 Finales, both of grand and simple nature, are something which mark the ending of a journey. For us here at Forge Hub this finale marks the end of our 2v2 Throwdown tournament. It has been a long few months for those still in the tournament. Tears have been shed and games have been lost but in the end it all comes down to this final map. Enter Reconcile; a map which by its definition means the ending of a dispute through action. That, my friends, is exactly what this map aims to do. This handcrafted beauty is forged from the blood, sweat and tears of one fine Reflex Ion and another fine Black Theorem. These two fellows have created a singular flowing expanse of perfectly balanced pathways leading between the bases and control points. Movement throughout the map is not only fluid, it's intuitive; natural. This is only amplified by the single sprint given to each team; right inside their home base. Furthermore, a centralized camo allows for players to slip through enemy guard, unnoticed. But this is just movement, what about the destruction? If you like getting bang for your buck then you've come to the right place. This map sports both a Grenade Launcher, for our more precision based explosive fiends and a Concussion Rifle, for those situations where too much is never enough. If the explosive game isn't your scene, Reconcile also offers a Sniper Rifle and a few Plasma Pistols to take down your enemies in style. Reconcile, although being Throwdown's final map, is certainly for more than just the champions. This map was crafted not only for the contest but for every member of this site. Please, let Reconcile be a testament to the success and download it, play it and enjoy it. This map truly deserve all of your praise and you, community, deserve even more praise for being so awesome throughout this entire tournament. Thank you. Oooo great i wish i had a chance to play this in throwdown those lucky buggers. I look forward to getting a game on this.
Love this map. Has always been my favorite of all the Throwdown maps. A well-deserved feature to BT and Reflex.
I hate this map. Its the worst piece of garbage ever thought up. Its a case of who knows who in the simple fact that it made it into the tourney. LOL! Just kidding. I really love this map and these 2 guys know it. I even helped BT build a part of the map at one point. Then the next time I saw it, him and Reflex completely removed it and changed it up, lol. It was for the better though, and now it was graced as the Best, and final Throwdawn map. Gratz guys!
Yoyo's name is broken, as in the link to his profile. But I love this map, and I can see some great battles going down on this map. Congrats to both Yoyo and BT. Probably the best Throwdown map (not that the others weren't excellent).
Wow. I joined the site on the the day Throwdown started. I'm not a 2v2 type, but all of the featured maps from Throwdown, leading all the way to this, the best 2v2 map I've seen on Reach.
That's pretty much exactly my joining experience, back in the first H3 1v1 tourney we had. I found this site and was blown away by those competition maps, they're definitely the reason I stuck around.
I loved this map. Quite a few things I miss from the original, but not much I don't like. Great job guys, by far my favorite tourney map. <3
I really enjoyed the testing stages of this map. It has some excellent lines of sight that encorporate precise flanking tactics. Definitely the map for the championship game to be played on as there are countless tactics both teams can use to counter each other. Good job guys. Oh and loving the new window piece Very creative!
Thank god you guys got rid of the spawn of doom down low. Much as it made me lol, I feel that players in the Finals may not have found it as funny .
You should have seen when the area down low was forged with rocks, it looked fantastic but was just unworkable in the end.
While having nothing to do with the map, it irks me that the vote option are all (fairly) positive except for 'not my style'. 'Okay' seems better than 'Average' to me. How about: -Awful -Bad -Average -Good -Great You can now continue arguing about the map.
Yep. Specifically, it was allowing the gravity pull of the natural soft barrier on Forge World (which is just barely under the map) cause there were dips and gaps in the floor. People would spawn and suicide in tests. And to Overdoziz, the subject's been discussed before in previous threads. The simple answer is, the community must assume and trust that Feature pics are at least of presentable quality and mildly enjoyable to the Halo community. Therefore, it's impossible for a featured map to be bad or awful, or even not okay. It may not be the style of map that you prefer, but as staff members we would only put up at minimum good 9and of course amazing) maps.
yeah, pretty much. It seems cocky, but among the staff we have some truly great forgers and those who arent still know proper map design. It'd be hard to find a map we've discussed and featured that is actually bad.
I'd say Haze was bad in my opinion. You guys thinking it's good doesn't make other people think it isn't bad. And to be clear this discussion has nothing to do with this map.
The ratings are meant to be constructive. Your qualm with the ratings is a minor one that everyone can argue semantics about. It's not an issue. Long story short. Haze was featured. People liked it or they didn't. If you didn't you would select "not my style". This is not a place for this discussion anyway. Take the convo out of the thread. Thanks.
Being constructive goes both ways. Only saying it's 'good' isn't constructive either. Polls don't say anything constructive anyway unless they give you incredibly detailed options. You might as well put two options in the poll: 'It's not my style' and 'It is my style'. A poll should be evenly distributed. i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Not something like 3, 4, 5, 7, 9. I know this is a bit of a non-issue, but it still irks me.
The Featured Maps poll isn't really meant to be constructive, IMO. It's a rating. The constructive criticism comes in here, in the comments from the members. Few people manage to actually offer anything that resembles and actual critique; it's usually folks looking to get their post count up or people congratulating their friend's success at the feature. Nothing really wrong with the latter, but to expect much more than that is a bit of wishful thinking. ...and on a different subject, it's good to see another GAFfer here.
