An updated version of my symmetrical 1v1 map that I originally posted in the Testers Guild. I focused on aesthetics and making it cleaner looking. Link I'd love some feedback. Weapons: 2x Needle Rifle 2x Plasma Grenades 1x Concussion Rifle 1x Evade Armor Ability
Alright basketskate3 I just downloaded and ran around a map a bit. Here a some comments/complaints I have compiled within the first 75 seconds. 1. The spawns are a bit wack. At the moment you have it where some are facing directly at a wall. Try facing them in the way the player may want to go. 2. You have it where the Needle Rifle is set for fixed. You see here is the problem, as soon you pick up the weapon; later on decide to switch out for something else it'll float in mid-air. More spare clips would be nice as well. 3. I'd also reccomend adding some more weapons on the map as well. Like two magnums at the least. Otherwise, I'm going wander your map with no ammo to fight back. 4. I think you should delete one health pack and move the other to the center pillar near Evade AA. but this is personel opinnion. But despite these small setbacks you still have a pretty nice map going on here. You might also want to consider making the map bit bigger to help add some veriety to the mix. Like make a whole new part of the map that streches behind the evade. (But again personel opinnion)
Thanks for checking it out! 1. Are you talking about the spawns on the stairs? If so, I already fixed those. 2. Yeah, my friend said the same thing, but that's the only way to keep it in the covy crate unfortunatly. So far it hasn't affected gameplay, so that'll probably stay. 3. I wouldn't know anywhere else to put anymore weapons. I did originally have some repeaters in the central area, but it felt like I had to many weapons on the map. I will add more spare clips to the needle rifles though for the ammo problem. Thanks. 4. Thats a really good idea. I agree that 2 health packs may be to much, so I'll do like you suggested and put just 1 on the center pillar. I may make it bigger, but since i'm out of decorative pieces that part would seem "bland" compared to the rest of it. Bigger is better though. Thanks for DLing and giving awesome feedback.
Good to hear that the stair spawns are okay now. I just checked out your map again to see where you can reduce the amount of decorative pieces. With a closer look, I found out that can you replace your railing mediums with railing longs, you'll recieve the same effect with a cheaper budget. You may also want to consider other options for Needle Rifle placement, if the only way you place that inside of the covie-crate is the use of fixed objects. So you might wanna experiment with upside-down flag stands if you wish to keep that Needle Rifle afloat. Sure it probably won't be phased inside of the crate and nobody would blame for sacrifing asthetics for gameplay. Again personel, no hard feelings. It seems you have a pretty good 1v1 map going on and I really do hope for the release of this map in the near future.
Thanks, I'll change the railings up. I guess I'll also get rid of the small antennas, since those aren't really noticable. With that I should have enough for an extra space. I'm still iffy on the needle rifle/covy crate thing. I'll try out your suggestion with the flag stands and see how it looks. your right though, it should be gameplay over aesthetics, buuuuuuut ugh. Anyway thanks again
