In this map there are two warthogs and each one is a goal for a specific team. When the game starts one player from each team will spawn next to your opponents warthog, while everyone else will spawn up by the mongooses. The goal of the game is to drive your mongoose into your warthog (This will be the one with the 1 above it.) When you crash into it you will score a point, and your mongoose will disappear. You will then get teleported back up top next to the mongooses to go again. The warthog drivers job is to keep the other teams goal away from the mongooses and keep the other team from scoring, but be careful any mongoose that crashes into a warthog regardless of who's driving will score a point for the team of the warthog they ran into. Over time pillars will start to spawn in at set intervals, and start to make the game a little more interesting. If the warthog driver ever falls out the goal he was driving will be left just sitting there for the other team to easily score on. That is why you have unlimited jet-pack. If you fall out jump off from the mongoose spawn area and fly down to the warthog, flip it, and get back in. It's best to do this quickly before something bad happens. (Ill tell you later) In this game everyone gets a spartan laser. This can be a handy tool when shooting at enemy vehicles. You can shoot at the person driving your warthog to slow them down, so your teammates can score easier, or you can shoot at enemy mongooses to keep them from scoring. Even thou is a good idea to shoot at vehicles to slow them down you don't want your entire teaming doing this or you will have no one down on the field scoring points. Now when your spartan laser runs out of ammo (and it will because standard ammo is on) you will always have your trusty plasma grenades. You can fly around sticking who ever you please and whenever you run out, just fall down into the teleporter and resupply. Every-time you get sent through the teleporter you will automatically pick up you fill of grenades, because there is a ring of them (square technically) around the exit of the teleporter. Once resupply jump back down then rinse and repeat. Now heres a heads up. If at any point a team manages to steal their own warthog, they can start intentionally crashing into mongooses to score points. If that happens the other team should try hard to steal it back because this can be a game changer. So when in a vehicle you can have different styles of play depending on what vehicle your in or who's. If you are driving in the warthog that is your goal, start crashing into every mongoose you see to rack up the points. If you are in the enemies warthog avoid every mongoose you see to keep the other team from scoring. If driving a mongoose it is you soul purpose to drive directly for your goal, but if the other team is in control of their warthog you should watch out because you will have to try and run away from it if it is chasing you. After watching the video, this seems to be a very fun mini-game. I've never seen warthogs as goals before, did not know that. I'll give it a DL tomorrow and see how it goes. Impressive!
Wow, this is a pretty inventive and original minigame! I like how the style of the gameplay changes by who's driving the warthog and the sticky grenades and splasers add a nice extra touch to the variety of this game. Maybe you could have done a little more on the aesthetics of the map though the current looks aren't bad at all. And did you place a kill zone on top of the map (or a safe zone beneath)? Because otherwise people might fly out of the map since they have unlimited jetpack and ruin the game.
Interesting and inventive (as far as I know)! My one suggestion is to make 2 warthogs, and have 5 teams. That should make it far more hectic, I think.
Very Nice idea. Seem quite unique, will download in the morning. Go check out my Recent Minigame, it also uses warthogs as goals. But the gametype changes them to mongeese. Nombly Nombly Mongeese! is the title. xD
Yes I put a safe zone on the map so their not going anywhere. Also I use nearly all the budget and useful decretive pieces. I would like to add more aesthetics but all i really have left are buildings and rocks so I left it as is and kept it sleek looking. I thought the same originally too but when i added more warthogs it meant less mongooses and it also confused some people when i had multiple hogs. Also with this game type the max teams are four and i did try it with that many but it didn't run as smooth as it does with two teams. Thanks for the suggestions thou. Yes i have seen your map and i did download it. It is quite fun good job.
Looks really fun!! I can't wait to try it out!! I am also going to put this map into one of my "Fun Fun Fun Minigame Reviews"... My reviews are also posted onto Halo Waypoint's front page!! Here is a link to my last review so you can see what I am talking about: The Fun Fun Fun Minigame Review: Episode 6 [HD] - YouTube Also I will post a link to your youtube channel
Thanks for the review, but instead of posting a link to my youtube channel refer them to my forgehub thread or my bungie file share. I only made my youtube channel so i could embed the video on forgehub. So if you could direct them there instead that would be much more appreciated.
Looks pretty cool. The only gripe I'd have would be that its easy to confuse the two Warthogs your scoring in. Also can you accidentally score in the other teams Warthog? If so that'll enchance the problem. Anyway, looks like a pretty enjoyable gametype.
Well...for one its not that hard to tell which is your warthog. It has a number 1 above it and can be seen at all times, while the other one will look like a regular warthog. Also for the scoring you can score points for the other team. The reason for this is that the mongooses themselves are neutral objects regardless of who is driving, so if you drive into any warthog it will score a point for the team you just drove it into. Like I said in the extra details, you want to avoid the other teams warthog and drive towards yours. Your questions could have been easily answered if you paid a little more attention to the map description, but I have no problem answering them myself. I hope your able to tell what hog is your goal, and avoid hitting the other warthog; most importantly I hope you like the map.
