Skylimit Created by Transactionzero and Stevo Recommended Gametypes: Throwdown Recommended Players: 4 Originally slated for Forge Hub's second Halo 3 2v2 tournament, the map then known as Skyjar was never officially completed. Such a wonderfully deceptive name it was, never failing to conjure up images of a Skybox creation soaring above the windy wastes of Sandbox. Inexplicably hidden, however, in the depths of the Crypt, Skyjar never made the deadline for its tournament premise and so was put on indefinite hiatus never to be seen again, or so some thought... Clearly that didn't turn out to be the case, if it had then you'd have just wasted almost as much time reading this article as I spent writing it. Once, twice, three-times a re-design, and I built you. Well I didn't, I understand that Stevo did most of the legwork, but he's not here anymore and the story can be twisted to my own wicked, lyric-parodying ends. Featuring the staple competitive lineup of two Sniper Rifles, Rockets and an Active Camo, Skylimit relies upon another competitive mainstay in terms of map design: a healthy dose of top control balancing risk with reward in broad positioning terms. Alongside the use of two Sprint AA pickups, the above power weapon compliment resides almost exclusively at the bottom of the map, with only the Rockets left in an open position at top middle, ripe for an opening battle and many more throughout the game. Looks like a boss map, is it made out of tetraniscopradoxide? Anyways, looks very nice in every aspect. I want to be able to design and build maps like this one some day!
I really loved this when I played it with Steve a short while back, and Steve, you suck with the sniper....most of the time. But this is a great map, probably my favorite in this tournament so far.
lol, unfortunately, pilling corpses in the middle of the room doesn't contribute to the map. So NO! Also, Skater, a short while back? it was only a few days ago lol. It's just a shame this map is only really gonna be played by a handful of people
This map was pretty fun when I played it a week or so ago. The sprint pickups are really cool, because they open the map up so much with the ability to sprint jup to the center platform. The neutral worllama also really makes the map that much better.
Very interesting map design. I'm going to have to run a few matches on it, but it definitely seems as though Sprint is going to be a definite target off the start.
Lol I didn't agree with haze being featured well before all the arguments and stuff so to me it never counted So technically, I didn't refuse it.
Well, after playing a few games on the map, I can definitely say that this map has style. Really looking forward to playing this map in the tournament.
