I hope you will take a look at the first episode of a machinima series I am creating about a Monitor named 6T6 Lofty View who observes odd human behaviors using his surveillance system monitors on installation 04. I'd appreicate show ideas and may even take submissions of "odd human behavior" videos to feature on the series.

The intro, was good. It was well put together and had some good effects going on in the background. Your voice converter mimicked 343's style of speaking pretty well too, but was still unique.

Honestly, the rest of the video wasn't that good. I think you've got something good in the intro, you just need a better focus for it. I think what you need to do is either take Halo bloopers from Matchmaking or Firefight from the community (rather than make them yourself) and play those after your 'interview style' introduction, spontaneous events are always more funny than set up ones. Or take your idea of monitoring 'Installation 04' and use it to video-review maps posted to Forgehub for the Review Hub. That following your 'interview style' intro, would make for a decent video.

Just an opinion. Feel free to bounce ideas off me if you want to.

Thanks for your feed back. This is really my first attempt at any kind of Machinima so I was just kinda testing out the format. I wish I had the hardware to capture in HD but it's just not int he budget right now. I agree actual "bloopers" or weird events from the community would be more entertaining or maybe telling a continuing story about these humans who really suck at maps and end up making some really stupid stuff. I dunno, I just wanted to test out the feel of the format and practice some editing and effects. It has been fun just seeing what is possible and what ideas may come from this. I'd love to use submissions from the community in future episodes too. Perhaps reviewing maps in this format would be more interesting for people as well. Thanks again for the great suggestions and feedback.

Well for 'just testing' I was pretty impressed with the intro you had, the rest of it didn't appeal to me that much. On a personal note, I would love to see map reviews in that style, I honestly think that would be a big hit here and it's not like the review hub doesn't always need help.

Like I said, it was quality stuff in the intro, you just need a better focus.

I'd like to help out the review hub, but I don't know if they will have me. I'm not one of the "old timers" here and I have never tried to review someone else's map before. I do forge a lot for myself and my friends and they seem to like what I come up with, but I just don't know if I'd be very good at reviewing for the community or not. Maybe I could be given the review and just translate it into this format for the reviewer. I dunno. what do you think?

I liked the style you used for the intro as well, I thought it was a cool idea and whatever distortion you used to sound like a monitor was fairly accurate. The content was not exactly original, but for an intro I though it was pretty good.

As for the Hub, well, I'm not the spokesperson for everybody, so if you have a serious interest in joining the Review Hub and trying to help with a video review, Organite would be the one to talk to. I don't know if it would fit with the other reviews done by the RH, but personally I think it would be great to add a little variety and a different talent for the RH. I dunno, if you're up to it, talk to him about it.

Yeah, definitely talk to Organite. I know your qualms about not being 'an old timer' around here. There is definitely a status quo that can't be messed with on this site. Maybe, for a trial run, go take one of their posted maps, read it, then film the map, see if you can get combat footage on it (either with your friends or the original review team's game.) I would use a mix of no-combat footage showcasing the map's features, then splice in combat footage of the map and repeat that while you talk about the map. (Just a suggestion, you've got the creative input.) Put it together, edit it, and submit it to Organite. Or even just put it in the video's section of FH and tell the original creator of the map. Word of mouth spreads fast around here.
