Okay, so I have been counting down the days until Halo: anniversary, and have decided to make a machinima about a side story on alpha halo. Tell me what you guys think! Storyline: A UNSC longsword on board the Pillar of Autumn containing the spartan III Fire Team is preparing to take off after a covenant cruiser heading towards halo when the Pillar of Autumn is hit. When the UNSC pillar of autumn enters atmosphere, the longsword takes off after an engine malfunction, not losing track of the cruiser. After taking off, it is intercepted by a pair of banshees and has its left wing blown out. After finally blowing up the two banshees, the longsword crash lands near an island, close to the location the cruiser was positioned before exiting halo's atmosphere once again. Scene 1: Music: TBD Location: Unknown Storyline: The members of Fire team, including Jill, Rex, Vince, and Troy, their leader, survive the crash. They make it back to shore and find that they were the only ones who survived the longsword crash, but weren't the only humans on the island. A group of military police located them and explained how the pillar of autumn crash landed near their location, and that they obtained a group of falcons, and around 5 warthogs. The commander (Troy) notices that the cruiser is gone, and that he suspects they have secured a landing cone further on land. He asks how far away the falcons were. They were on the island, as well. Scene 2: Music: Halo 2 OST Vol. II - Sacred Icon Suite [Cortege], Halo 2 OST Vol. II - Delta Halo Suite [Dust and Bones] Location: Dreadnought inside High Charity, Alpha Halo's orbit Storyline: Dahn 'Macumee, an elite zealot, is informed that he is needed inside of the dreadnought, where some elite generals are discussing halo. He enters, not exactly what he is doing there, and walks into one of the control rooms. Some of the generals explain the discovery of Halo, and more importantly, a discovery on Halo so vast it could literally expand the locations the covenant could visit, for example, other galaxies. Dahn is chosen to guard the location on Halo until the hierarchs gave the order that he could return back to High Charity, and that his life is at stake. With that, Dahn enters the elevator in the dreadnought to one of it's lower locations and boards a Type-27 XMF banshee. He then heads to Halo to guard the "sacred location". Scene 3: Music: Halo 3 OST - [Tsavo Highway] Out Of Shadows Location: Presumed Covenant Landing zone Storyline: Rex, Jill, and Vince head over in two of the falcons to a cliff near the landing zone, where they will pull off a recon mission. Rex takes out some elite guards, but is reminded by Jill that they must stay quiet. At that time, a Type-27 XMF banshee (Dahn 'Macumee) flies by the cliff, but does not see the spartans. They head to the edge of a cliff and see an elite looking over the landing zone on the edge of the cliff, but is taken out by Vince. The elite's body falls on a lower part of the cliff, where an elite sees the body and tries to run away, but is sniped by Jill. They approach the cliff only to see that the landing zone is not at all a landing zone. Open the spoiler to hear the last scene: Spoiler Scene 4: Music: Halo 2 OST Vol. II - Delta Halo Suite [Leonidas] Location: Halo sector 2 energy plant (previously thought to be a landing zone) Storyline: Troy is riding on a falcon and Rex, Jill, and Vince are riding on warthogs, approaching what was once thought to be the covenant landing zone. Troy informs Fire Team that what they saw yesterday (around 9:30) was not a landing zone, but in fact a energy plant on halo that provides power to the rest of the installation to keep it running. The covenant have discovered it, and it would give them the power to slip space travel to different galaxies if they had the power. Then, at that moment, covenant banshees are seen attacking the falcons. Troy's falcon goes to land on the other side of the plant while Fire Team attempts to push back the covenant and take over the controls of the power plant. Fire Team heads towards the controls of the plant, but is confronted by Dahn, who just killed another elite to get ahold of a wraith to stop Fire Team. Just as he is about to kill them all, incoming falcons and a M12R Light Anti-Armor Warthog, otherwise known as a "rocket hog", approaches Fire Team. The wraith is shot and nearly destroyed when Dahn gets out and tries to take Fire team out with his Fuel Rod gun, but his shields are taken down by Troy's falcon flying overhead. Fire Team approaches the controls and locks 2 of the 3 energy pillars down when they are approached by a furious Dahn with 3 wraiths guarding him. He, with a plasma launcher in hand, destroys Troy's falcon, but Troy jumps out just in time and uses his jet pack to get down. Fire Team boards the enemy wraiths and destroys them just as they see a banshee containing Dahn flying off into the distance. Troy locks the final energy pillar down and are picked up by the remaining vehicles. Tell me what you guys think about this! I'd love to hear your opinions.
I don't know, but I definitely will think about it. Good suggestion. The only reason I wouldn't is that Installation 04 takes place in the daytime and the only part of the machinima that could use another scene takes place at night...
Its was just a suggestion. Here is another suggestion; so try to use more Halo CEA maps and Forgeworld maps but less REACH based maps. That would add more realism to the machinima.
Definitely. I'm more than half way done, so I won't use any anniversary maps because the whole cast (myself included) really wouldn't want to redo a scene. I am not going to add any map like Boardwalk or countdown just because it wouldn't fit the theme.
Alright, didn't know you were almost done. well perhaps you can make a sequel after anniversary comes out.
Planning on it. Actually, hoping the sequel possibly to take place on earth at the firing of the ark portal and the following of the new flood threat on earth, but I'm almost certain that won't happen...
