Covenant assault carrier Hello all, welcome to a preview on what I have been forging recently. This has turned into a really interesting project researching data on the covenant assault carrier, searching through all of Halo for good screenshots and intel. It has been great playing campaign on halo 2, 3 odst and reach searching. Halo 3 had the best screenshots I could find but they are few and far between. At 5 km long it is no suprise we haven't actually been able to get on the ship as I am sure it would be a massive feat to render. There is a cheat to get into seceret rooms from the ark although this can only be done in theatre mode with a trick. After a load of research I have now began to reforge the ship to a more accurate state, I also have a few pictures of inside the ship to try and re-create this is where I am up to so far........ kind of looks like a giant wiener...lol The ship measures 32 units width x 62.5 units long From Long night of solace older model... Spoiler This has still only taken around 4000 to make so far. I am not sure what to do with the map. It is large inside and a few levels in height, I feel it could make a small map for 2 v 2 - 3 v 3 or it could be encorparated into a lager map, invasion for example. Very pretty! Im a big fan of how smooth everything is. I think you should make this either into a small 1v1/2v2 map or invasion, both would probobly be great fun. Just try to give good gameplay as well as what you have done with the aesthetics.

Thank you, with the choice of pieces I would probably have to reforge a lot, but thats no problem, I have just been trying to get the right shape, It is a tough ship to make as it almost looks like 2 ships combined, probably the lower part did detatch the way it looks structually. The walkway covers have a lot of lights and are causing fr since the light has been added, but an easy fix I am sure. I also think a 1 v 1 - 2 v 2 would probably be best and also invasion compatible. The height of the ship is low to enable easy access from ship to ground and vice versa. Will see what I can come up with on forge, thanks! Cool! They look awesome thanks !
I really like that! A small competitive map that is able to perform in Invasion! Also it is very pretty! I want to stroke my fingers through it's hair, and it's just a map!
Thanks ha , I have been studying pictures, trying to get good shots and angles to get aesthetics. I like the way it looks and have been stroking it myself ha, but there are improvements that need to be done, mainly I need to make parts flatter from the round head to the body, I have also improved the back end so it looks nicer. The design of this ship is disgustingly brilliant. It looks extremely smooth and clean both of which are hard to come by on ships like these and to top it off you only used up 4000. If you can incorporate a fun and balanced game type onto this map that would make it several times better, but game type or not I will be looking forward to its release. Make a little pelican below it and make it look slightly destoryed, then put some explosions (Plasma Batteries) on the pelican to look like the covenant carrier raining hell on the pelican.
Wow, definitely looks like you put a lot of time an effort into forging this. Everything looks smooth and very well thought out! Bravo! The fact that you managed to make it multi-floored and actually have an inside capable of being a playable map, is pretty damn neat. You definitely don't see many aesthetic maps with potential for playability. Nice work, looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
Ooh, I love the ship for the most part but the tail doesn't suit me. Most of the ship is smooth and curves well up until that point. Nice job otherwise!
Thanks all, I have been fixing a few areas up, rounded back little more and am considering reforging areas with round inclines to get more curves. At the moment with no lights or mancannons as aesthetics this costs less than 3500 also changed back a little
There HAS to be major frame rate issues in this area, unless it is not accessable. Onto the map, it looks absolutely fantastic and is by far the best Corvette invasion map I have ever seen (sorry CCS Silent Barbarian ). I can't wait until you release this!
Thank you... well you will be pleased to know I reforged the ship and the area in the picture you quoted is now made of brace large This really is a massive project and I am still forging exterior, looking forward to moving inside shortly as I have the shape of the ship better now. A full aesthetic version, a cheep version as a template and a version working on a few gametypes.
