A new sig I made for myself. After 2 sigs that aren't for me I decided to make one for myself. I got inspired by the rain today so I decided to make a water one. I think it turned out great, it'll be my new one for a while. It's not my usual, I had to resize it to accommodate the spartan better into the sig so I went for a fatter size this time. Critique, rep, say it needs more interlox, etc. You all know the drill! [br][/br]Edited by merge: Also, check out my HC Pages, I got all my sigs in there HaloCharts.com - - Player: Xtermin8R645
Were you also inspired by the rain in my sig and the water flooding the city? I like it for the most part. There are a couple dots of very noticeable water specks in the bottom right, near his junk. I like how you made a sort of splatter effect around his body to show the rain is hitting him. I'd like to see what stocks you used for the spartan and the water. Looking at it, I see a section under his armpit that's discolored. It kind of looks like you pasted in the lightning image in the top leading to the right because there's a divided line leading to his head. I thought this was a clever use of composition/lines at first, but i'm now wondering if that's a mistake. Everything else seems good to me though. I like this one. Reminds me a lot of my current one (hint hint hint). lol.
Well water sigs are complicated aren't they? I ended up with 20+ layers, it was crazy. And yes, yours had a lot to do with the making of this one. Anyhow, stocks: Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details A lot of splashes, huh? Those specks are supposed to be water droplets and wave splash, the ones near his junk, lol. The armpit thing is a little bit of cloud that I think I might have deleted by mistake and the line you speak of is unclear to me, I erased most of the lightning image and left only the thunder and some of its surrounding flash, I did erase some of the clouds to emphasize his head a bit. Rain sigs FTW!!
Blue: That's the line I'm talking about, it's visible where you cropped the lightning image, it should be blended together better. Edit: Oh wait, that's in the original stock image. That's rather deceiving. Red: I know they're droplets, I mean they shouldn't be as bright/distracting as they are now. The overall image seems low quality and it's too pixelated/exposed in some very tiny areas. The lighting seems a bit off but it's ambiguous as to where the source is exactly. My main words to describe this is low quality, no offense.
I don't really see a lack of quality here, but I'll see what I can do. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Better?
Here's my interpretation... I tried to make the lighting a little more realistic, blurred out a few areas to add more depth, and smudged several of the "dots" around his armor. I liked the colors you used originally, I didn't exactly try to make it so monochromatic. Also, this is what I'm talking about when I say low quality: (zoomed in) For whatever reason I see this pixelated-ness all around the image. It could be just the stock, I'm not entirely sure. I might be going crazy as well. I don't mean any harm by it, I'm trying to help. You don't have to keep making versions if i'm tiring you out lol. That and I'm procrastinating with my homework :S
Well yours looks even more low-res than the current one I'm using tbh, but I see where you're getting at. I'll fix it sometime, and make a final version. I agree with some things you said, I will improve it as I see fit. Thanks for your interpretation, though.
That and I didn't have the original file, so it's automatically degraded a bit. Anyway, yeah, just trying to give you an idea.. hope it helped.
