    Hello friend, come on out of that shipping container. I apologize for the uncomfortable means by which you had to travel here, but the trip will be well worth it. That’s right, welcome back to Cargo Port. Many of you will feel right at home, but be wary; a few changes have been made to this particular mid-city installation. We’ve upgraded our facility based on your feedback over the last few months.

    That’s right, I wasn’t happy with a few aspects of the map either. Now that the original has over 3,000 downloads, I thought it would be a perfect time to fix some of the map’s issues, from the glaring to the subtle. Conveniently, and almost by accident, this map’s release will also celebrate my 1,000th post on Forge Hub. It may be worth noting that my fellow avian associate: MattKestrel was entirely absent from the creation of this updated version. All the same, the map wouldn’t be quite where it is today without him.

    Let’s look at some of the issues that have been addressed. Hopefully nothing about the map has bothered any of you too much, but if something has, rest assured. Every reasonable issue that has been brought to my attention has been addressed.

    Of course, these aren’t the only things I’ve fixed, they’re just the biggest. I’ve also reduced object count and made minor aesthetic changes in some areas. Minor adjustments have been made to spawns outside of Invasion and CTF, this includes fixing an issue that was almost completely preventing players from spawning at the top of the map. The concussion rifle has been nerfed significantly, and a few other minor adjustments have been made.

    Before the screenshots, I'd like to give a shout out to everone who's helped test the map. The new version was tested by Flying Shoe ILR, Berb, Equin0x, Soul Slasher, Nutduster, BurningInWater, Overdoziz, CyborgAnthro, Xun, ChronoTempest, neverendinghalo, Combs53090, and several others. I'd also like to rethank everyone who helped with the original version:
    Now that we've got all that out of the way, let's look at some screenshots. the first set of shots shows the map in it's standard setup, while the second set was taken in a game of invasion. Don't worry, both setups are on the same map variant!

    This looks sick! I remember I played on the original once and I was so frustrated when I was a spartan! I will definitely have to try this new version now. Seems like you fixed the biggest problem in invasion, the spawning. Great work man!

    There is a difference between grammar and spelling..
    You also misspelled grammar.

    OT: you should add some pictures here of the map, its kind of weird having to check 3 other threads to see a map.

    I tested this with you last night (only the invasion gametype). I have to say this is the greatest invasion game I've ever played. I've never played an invasion game made specifically for 4v4 but it worked fantastically. Gameplay flowed smoothly and was very aesthetically pleasing. I can't pinpoint one fault, nothing but great things to say here.

    Oh yeah! Who's that shoe holding the core! And who's that flamingo dropping it off the crane with a falcon protecting him? I thought they could fly?

    Great to see that after arguing about Cargo Port's problems a few months ago now they are fixed! I absolutely love this map, the level of polish dwarfs almost anything I have ever seen. Even for a layout that was based heavily on a campaign area, this is still one of the most original experiences in Halo. Now everyone get off FH and go play some Omar the Spaceman.

    By the way Flamingo, grammar ours not so bad is! Hour shpeling iz perty gewd az welt.

    Fleh. I still hold the bar that that is one ***** of a tac jump. It was so hard that my wings slipped shut in anger at the sheer difficulty of it. In short, I'd like to see you make that jump. >:[

    Omar the Spaceman is the best gametype for this map; I must have played it on Cargo Port more than every other gametype combined. That's not exactly saying much, but I don't think I've ever had many problems on this map. It's sporadic and never a disappointment to see come up. It may not be my favorite map in the world, but I have yet to find a single thing wrong with it.

    I'm just going to delete that picture and slink away now. I failed at spelling as I corrected someone on their spelling.

    I love it duck, I love it. A great improvement on the initial cargo port setup. I thoroughly enjoy the new one flag layout with the moved objectives and changed spawns. The invasion IMO has seen a big improvement.

    Berb, you took the words out of my mouth. Anywho,
    I've loved this ever since you forced me to play the campaign with you, ah the nostalgia put into cargo port. I loved playing this, and especially for omar the spaceman.

    Soul Slasher recommends Dino Blasters.

    I'll get a game of Omar on here soon and take some screenshots. Thanks for all the support guys, I've really tried to make this map please as wide of an audience as possible. I realize I made some spelling mistakes, but I don't think it's worth editing and re-uploading the images to fix them. Anyways, keep it coming! I love to hear what people think.

    Glad you finally got it finished brobro! I hope to play Invasion on here, as I recall only playing it once or twice once you started tweaking it, and it wasn't even really a test.

    Cargo Port was a good map, but several months later, your forging skills have improved, you know how to be more efficient, with time, budget, and parts- and you came back around and made this map completely awesome.

    I applaud your hard work...theoretically. I'm pretty sure I'd just get a weird look from my parents if I was clapping at my computer.

    I'll definitely give this a DL. I have the original and played a custom of the Invasion a while back. I remember it needed work, but I've been busy with my own projects and was going to revisit this map sometime this week to go over it again. But it seems you beat me to it! The update looks nice, and I'll have to give it a go. By far one of the funnest Invasion maps I've play so far.

    I gotta say that the improvements to Invasion make this map play totally different in a good way. It's a heck of a lot nicer in that sense. Great overall map, and Invasion is just that much better on here!

    good looking map, sick detail, a one-of-a-kind invasion gametype, and one god-damn falcon on such a small map that fits perfectly. What else can there be to notice about this map looking awesomely sick but that its heavily based on the Halo Reach campaign level of Exodus when you take tower jumping with a jet pack to the next level with the turtleback ODSTs against several brute cheiftains waiting to pulverize you when you touch down on this familiar landing pad, good work. This map probably one of my favorite maps now, and I say I would have never thought someone would take the chance to build a map based off that moment in campaign but I guess I'm a tad-bit late to say that since some hubbers are speaking of an older version but any how good map and I hope to see you around. Also if I can be of any service I would suggest adding a stairs like in the campign where the fuel rod grunts are usually waiting at the very front-lower landing pad, other than that good job.

    There are stairs up from that landing pad, just like in campaign. The crane also provides another way onto/off of that platform. Thanks to you and everyone else who's posted for the compliments though!

    I was not around when you originally released this map, so I have not had a chance to play this in all its glory(other than a game of OMAR). Now that you have created a new and improved version, I would really like to get a game on this to see what all the fuss is about ;)! Anyways, you have my DL and I will see what I can do to get a game on this.

    Played some Omar the Spaceman with Shoe last night... he has crazy mad jetpack/hammer haxx, I got crushed like 20-9 :(

    The funny thing about Omar the spaceman, is it can literally be played on any map, but it's like this psychological :duck: thing, that prevents anyone from actually playing it anywhere else.
