Anyway thats the Initial Loadout Camera if you couldnt figure it out. Streets is my newest map, its basically doneish (i have a few more things to polish up like adding wheels to the truck and adding more gametypes). So basically this is an urban themed map based in forgeworld.

Its got a lot of playspace but its pretty simple to navigate quickly and effectively the roads are lined by buildings and basically takes the general shape of an upper case J with a little alley off the horizontal cap on the J (if that makes any sense). with a very large building in the middle and a bunch of buildings and store fronts lining the perimeter. You can go inside all the buildings, although two of the storefronts are basically just lifts. But still its just a huge amount of space.

Anyway framerate lag is minor and generally only occurs when looking all the way accross the map so im working on getting rid of that as well (ill probably just find something to obstruct the longer LOS). But unfortunately my roommates tv is an old piece of crap so i have to buy an adaptor for my xbox to hook it up and probably wont be able to finish this up for at least a week or two. But thats why im making this preview to stir up interest before its ready for release.

I call this the government building

Bridge over road between central building and side building

    Central Building

This is basically where the tail of the J curves in reference to its position and its also situated at the edge of the central building

This is really interesting and looks well forged. But why the ceiling if its an outdoor urban themed map? It really shouldn't have one IMO. It also looks really tight and may be difficult to maneuver around things during battle. But thats just an observation from the pics and I could be wrong. I'd like to see it in person sometime though.

I agree about the ceiling, I think it should be scrapped. Otherwise this looks great, especially the truck. Is the inside of the bus blocked off because if not that would probably get too campy?

The cieling is neccesary because most of the tops of the buildings become ragged and ununiform if you remove the cieling whihc i feel really detracts from the aesthetic more than having a roof. There are a lot of tight corners but i feel this mimics the feel of a city and most of them are surrounded by large open areas, so they dont really hurt gameplay

I agree with the ceiling comments above, it really takes away from the outdoor feeling. It even took me a few seconds to figure out why it was called The Streets, and after a couple seconds i noticed the trucks and roads and stuff. otherwise, looks like you have some neat ideas as far as ascetics go. im curious to see if it plays well.
