Updates: sept. 24 2010 -Added 2 Fusion coils in the back corners -Middle bounder is larger to prevent people crossing over -Back 2 Grenade Pillars moved back -Rounds are 3 minutes -Color dynamics apply every 30 seconds -Pillar Grenades spawn take 2 seconds longer -Raised middle bound to stop players from rolling over by accident -Switched back pillars and front pillar's position Stick Ball is a fast paced "dodge ball" type game where players must eliminate the opposing team using plasma grenades. Players obtain plasma grenades by picking them up in areas of the arena Objective: Earn the most points at the end of 5 Rounds. Scoring: 2 points for stick 1 point for kill 1 point for spree -1 point for suicide Players cannot pass the middle barrier and will automatically die if they try, dieing by this will subtract a point. The middle is where most of the grenades spawn, close to the barrier is a zone that stops players from camping and will kill them in 10 seconds (e.a 3 in the key: basketball). This zone is indicated by orange cones. Each player will only be given one life each round, if they die, they sit out until the next round. At the start of each round players are given choice to either use the evade ability or sprint ability during the round. A round is 4 minutes long and every 40 seconds a new color scheme is introduced to the arena to keep things intense. Looks pretty nice i'll give it a DL and test properly when i do a lan (could be a few weeks) This looks like a good variant of dodge ball.
Cool idea! The only changes I would make to the gametype would be to take away kill points - just have sticky and spree bonuses with a betrayal -1 point, as well. But I love the concept! Good stuff!
Someone already bumped the thread, so I guess its okay to post on it now? But I downloaded this a while ago, it's fun but when you need plasmas you have to rush to the middle. There shouldn't be a soft kill, only a hard kill in the middle.
