Top secret: Cannovator ~Cannovator~ Ideas behind CannovatorMy original idea was to make a building completely enclosed. A short time after starting on Cannovator I decided to give it a different look, a look that is a little more unique, half open half enclosed. The idea behind the map was to try and make it a great DMR map. So I tried to keep it clutter free and by doing so I think I achieve my goal. About CannovatorCannovator is a symmetrical map. Crazy king, Headhunter and Slayer gametypes are all available to play. The map has two outskirts, Bottom outskirt where the rocket spawns and the walkway where the sword spawns. This multilevel map has several jump ups which makes holding areas off a little harder. The top (sniper) floor has 5 different access points. The middle (pyramid) floor has 4 entrances but be careful as the person above can jump down on you as Cannovator has a unique open floor system for both the mid, and top floor. The bottom (basement) floor has three quick ways to get to the top and two to get to the mid floor. This looks really neat. The way you color coat each area makes navigation a bit easier, and makes it look professional.
Thanks Spl4tterman... I put in alot of time and effort to make this map look and play good... However the pictures don't do justice. Thats why I will be posting videos in the near future! I will be posting two videos. 1 will show special jumps, weapon spawns, and of course the entire map. The second one will show game play footage. If you haven't played on Cannovator yet Spl4tterman then maybe we can, if you have time on your hands.

WOW, I prefer this to Turbine a GREAT deal. The balance between wide-but not too wide-open expanses and walkways and cover is brilliant. Very well laid out. I love the simplistic yet detailed design of this map. It looks fantastic! HERE is where you can use a sniper rifle in the proper manner: it is usable but at the same time would be challenging, with the balance between the copious amounts of evenly distributed cover for you, but also for your enemies, and the exposure that you would be, erm, exposed to. Just one thing: is there any bias in terms of power weapon placement? Are the rocket launcher, sniper rifle, shotgun and energy sword all placed in the middle of the map? Are they spread around with the spawn points spread accordingly to maintain equality? Or are they closer to one team/individual than the other(s)? Anyway, from what I can see I like this map a lot, but the thread could do with a few more pictures so we could get a slightly better idea as to how this map is laid out. Well done!
THANKS ALOT xxJSGC123xx that means a lot! I am pleased to have made a map that people can enjoy! I too love CANNOVATOR, I believe that it is my best creation as of yet. I think the layout of Cannovator provides great gameplay for all players as there are several close quarter areas and plenty of open space for perfect DMR battles. There are no bias weapons. The rocket spawns in the middle of the bottom outskirt, sniper spawns at the top in the middle, Shotgun bottom middle, and sword spawns in the middle of the outskirt walkway. I have posted more pics of the map above. It's hard to get the perfected angles but I think they show a little more detail of the layout. Again thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it!
