If you apply this philosophy to everything you do in life, not just Halo, you will find happiness and success at every turn. I believe the word used to describe the moment when you understand something of that magnitude is somewhere between 'epiphany' and 'revelation.'
I am rubbish at doing this. Stevo is right. It's what part of the game that makes you love and respect Halo. You can't just force your feelings on other people. For me, the main thing that made Halo popular was the competitive games of multiplayer. But a whole range of things that i love come together to make what i love about Halo.
If you think that map is completely "gray," then you haven't seen nothin' yet. I'd say that's a decently colorful map with what we've got to work with in Forge 2.0. With just a little color, glass, tin cups, natural pieces, or crates used in the right spots, I generally forget about the grayness anyways. All I need in terms of "color" are good ways to help my orientation. Besides, it's all about creating a map that immerses the player enough to make them forget the bland textures on most pieces and just have fun on the damn thing. PS. This was secretly a way for you to advertise your buddies map, right? You just had to wait and act retarded long enough for it to seem like it wasn't...very clever
If you've resorted to calling me retarded i'm going to have to flag you and this thread. you're wrong.
i do agree that that may have been (emphasis on may) a bit over the top but everything else is right cookiejay. All you have been given is great tips on how to look at forge and create your maps in better ways but all you have been doing is slamming it back in their faces. And i can tell that you are childish and hate to lose. The plain quotation,"you're wrong." shows this. Now knowing you, your probably going to flag this post for that. But your ideas on forge and what makes good maps are not part of a lot of other people's perspectives. You have lost. Get over yourself. Accept the advice. Move. On. Just got to say that your Ender's Game Hourglass map was a blast! I loved every second of it. Lets have no conversation over this and keep on with the topic of this thread.
i created this thread to say something, not ask you for help or advice. I never asked a single, literall question, not once. AND MY NAME IS COOKIEKAY. COOKIEKAY. K. I'm not trying to convince or be convinced, but merely state my stance. I am having a philosphical debate about THE STATE OF FORGE. I have already taken my stance. So have you. Who asked you to change? Not me. I merely pointed out reasons why I think the way I do.
actually, you were busy debating about what made Halo CE so famous when i came. does that have anything to do with forge, cookiekay? No. It is quite obvious that you are trying to convince people that aesthetics are everything when it comes to mapmaking. Now can we actually talk about the state of forge?
Well if you didn't then you wouldn't be going on about it and doing what i wnat which is to get back to the subject. You clearly want to do otherwise. Anyway, the state of forge?
the point of a thread is to continually talk about the original topic. Haven't you seen those threads that've been locked because the topic was left alone? It was all like . Seriously though. Keep talking about the actual topic.
