Hey guys, Lannders here just thought id throw out this idea and see what you thought. I've noticed that you have 5000$ budget contests and such so i suggest this: A forge collaboration contest. Rules are Simple: 1: You may have 1 partner. 2: You can use any amount of budget. 3: Map has to work for Team Slayer DMRs Zero Bloom,CTF, Assualt, and Slayer No Bloom. 4: Can't be a map you already made Co-lab has to be fresh. So there's my idea let me know what you all think and post any suggestions :O
This contest just wouldn't work. There are already a lot of coforges out there, I don't think anyone would want to take part in something so bland. And because there is absolutely nothing stopping someone from just throwing credit to a partner in order to gain access to the contest, this is basically just a boring, generic map contest. I'm starting to get the feeling that people are now starting contests just for the sake of starting a contest.
Adding on to what Flamingo already said, you have forgot to put in some key information about your contest idea. First, you made no mention of prizes. Not only do bitches love prizes, but people spending time participating in said contest will also appreciate prizes. How long do members get to finish said "co-lab" (whatever the **** that is)? Contests need to be extremely well thought out and need to have a decent set-up to even allow people to understand it.
Just cause its eating at me...if the word you were going for is collaboration...you don't need to say co-lab, as it makes no sense. Either co-forge or just say Collaboration or Collab if you're lazy.
Co-Lab? Collab? It took me reading Flamingo's post to realize that you weren't actually talking about a literal Lab. And can I just say; simmer down with the contests? Unless you have some decent prizes, they're generally going to go unnoticed..
Does it really take that much effort to search contest and see how many other contests people have already tried and failed at starting? Odds are this won't be different from any others.
You asked us what we thought, we told you what we thought, it's a bad idea. Can't handle that input don't post under-thought out ideas and expect people to run with it.
