Welcome to my triple map preview of strange biological anecdotes!

    Glaucus

Note the "Owl of Minerva" totem at the top of the map.

Glaucus is a map built on the water with simple but elegant aesthetics. I believe it is best for 3v3, although 2v2 and 4v4 are possible. It has some fun elevation changes and some great mixes of range and LOS.

    Tusk

Tusk is a 3v3 to 4v4ish map that is essentially an underground re-imagining of construct, with elements of prisoner and snowbound thrown in.

Here is the elephant that sparked the name. Perhaps I was sleep deprived upon discovering this, but after looking at other areas of the map, the elephant form starts to appear elsewhere.

Here there is a bit of snowbound influence in the lower passages.

    Viroid

Viroid is a spiritual successor to Orbital, but with some major layout differences. It supports anywhere from 3v3 to 6v6.

The defender's half has a UNSC factory/garage type feel, while the attacker's side had more of a covenant ship or orbital defense station look to it.

These are some more of my recent projects. Since I have so many built maps, it is unlikely that all of these will be released any time soon. I am posting them in part to see which ones people are interested in, so I can decide which to pursue further. Thanks for viewing, and I'd really appreciate any feedback you may have, good or bad.

Holy CRAP! You are a map making machine! They all look great! And therefore I hate you! :D

Have you been able to test any of these yet?
I can't decide which is my favorite from the pics yet so I'll need to see these in person stat. But its a tie between Tusk and Viroid. But that doesn't mean I don't like Glaucus because it too looks tasty.

I think each of these maps looks awesome.

Glaucus-I like this one the most because I enjoy maps that are outdoors or partially outdoors and I think you had some nice aesthetics there

Tusk-This is my least favorite of these maps. It looks like the flow of the map will be centered around the rocket spawn.

Viroid-This map is my second favorite because, alyhough I dislike indoor maps, you gave it some really nice aesthetics and used a goood variety of pieces to make a unique map.

To conclude I must say I am jealous that you can make so many good maps so quickly!

My thoughts exactly! These maps look interesting to say the least, I hope to get a game on them! And I see the elephant.

They all look very solid but glaucus to me is the least exciting, it suffers from the 'too much grey' syndrome but hey i bet it plays well. The one i'm most excited by is tusk, really liking the idiosyncratic layout. Would love to give these a test, my gt is FunkStopsHere.

    Thanks everyone for the feedback!

@ GrenadeGorilla8, Actually I haven't tested any of them yet, but it's safe to say that I won't ever run out of ammo for the tgn.

@ Naughty Badger, I guess I thought it would a good thing that the rocket is in the basement since I thought that area might see the least movement. I will keep what you've said in mind when I get to testing.

@ Audience, thanks. I was thinking about putting something about having your head mounted on the wall next to it in the map description... not your head, you know what I mean.

@ Oh Gnarly, OK I will add you for testing. I will look into reducing the greyness on Glaucus.

Based on everyone's feedback so far it seems that everyone likes different things about different ones for different reasons, so I guess I'll just have to test them all! Thanks again for the comments. Any opinions on the names so far?

On Viroid you should put a purple light rite where you took the pic.

I'd like to do that but the map is actually so object-heavy that I would worry about lag. Maybe I will try it out though. Thanks for the suggestion!

All of these maps look amazing and seem to hold up to their own sense of atmosphere. How do you go about the process of making these maps by the way? Do you plan ahead or free hand it?

Thank you sir. I nearly always sketch my maps ahead of time and try to pick the best option of a few different but related layouts. Take viroid, I made a few similar versions with the same concept before arriving at this one. Also, a lot of my maps lately have gotten inspiration from either previous maps or bungie concept art. If it's a re-imagination I try to include in the new take the spirit of the map that people liked while eliminating the parts of the map people disliked. With Tusk, I knew I wanted to make a new spin on construct that was underground, and then the prisoner and snowbound aspects just sort of emerged along the way. Finally with Glaucus, I actually started with the dipped/covered bridge section of the map, and knew I wanted to use that somehow. For that one I looked at different layouts in forge that would work around that bridge and this layout is the one I ended up with. I am actually still considering redoing this one with some key layout differences, but retaining the theme or atmosphere as you put it. Thanks for the comment!
