Hello and welcome to my first map that I did not co-forge, Traverse. I am a fan of layered maps, so I decided to make this. So far it is compatible with Slayer, Team Slayer, CTF, 1 Flag CTF, both KOTHs, Team Oddball, FFA Oddball, Multi-Team Slayer, Multi-Team KOTH, and Multi-Team Oddball. I would love to improve this map so criticism is welcome. Now for the pics!

    *****IMPORTANT*****
THE MAP IS A PERFECT MIRROR. EACH PICTURE IS MIRRORED BY THE OTHER BASE.

    Weapon List:
    DMR- 2; 45 sec. respawn
    Needler- 2; 60 sec. respawn
Plasma Launcher- 1; 150 sec. respawn
    Shotgun- 1; 180 sec. respawn
Sniper Rifle- 2; 180 sec. respawn

The current version can be downloaded here.
Well thats it! Once again I would really appreciate your comments. Thanks for reading! (although I doubt anyone read all this)

Looks precarious! And, for some reason, reminds me of Two-Fort from TF2...I dunno. I'm weird. A little light on the bridge cover though, no?

Looks alright, some of your paths look a little narrow, I know you're going for that feel but I'd give them at least a little more room.

I do however like the design, its got some good potential, I'd like to see it with a little more green though, ever think of putting it above grass? Or in a mountain-face?

This map doesn't do much for me at all. From the pictures I can already see a vast majority of skinny walkways and steep ramps. Also, from what I can tell, all the bridges are pointing in the same direction, leading me to believe that nothing about this map is going to be curved or at least angled. I'll try to break down the problems more specifically, so that can understand why most forgers stay away from them.

    Long (bridge) walkways:

These types of paths aren't advised, especially when used in excess. They restrict side to side movement (strafing) among other things.

    Steep ramps:

Using steep ramps restricts what players can see at any side of them (especially in front of them) and makes progressing up said ramp more of a mystery than it ever should be. Players movement speed is also effected when moving up a steep ramp. All in all, I would stay away from steep ramps as much as possible.

    Lack of aesthetic appeal:

This may just be me, but it truly seems like you didn't try to make the map look good, but instead, just tried to get the map finished. There's nothing wrong with forging like this. In fact, it's how I prefer to forge. Basically, find the layout your happiest with THEN make it look good. If this isn't the case, then, well...

    Hopefully this will help you.

Personally it kind of reminds me of Swordbase (with all the bridges). Looks really good. Jet-packs would rock this map.
