This is my first real custom gametype and map and I am new to forging so be nice =) The objective is like one-bomb assault. You have full vehicle use and unlimited ammo for explosive weapons. The twist is that the offensive side has a ramp to fly down on mongooses and warthogs into the goal at the bottom of the ramp. The defense has turrets and wraiths at their disposal at the base of the ramp along with 3 platforms along the ramp path in which to attempt to stop the team from scoring. 10 points to win. Each team gets 2 rounds to try and score. Bomb is instant arm, instant respawn, instant return when dropped Rocket Launcher, Greande Launcher, 2x Each Grenade Unlimited ammo (you do have to reload) Barrier to keep defense team out of offense team spawning area UPDATES: -Removed the 2 farthest platforms for defense for balancing -Added 2 sniper towers to the Goal Defense for goal visibility -Removed the Specter Turrets -Fixed the respawn points for larger groups -Added Propane tanks to key defense points to balance for the offense team Leave your suggestions and thoughts below on if it was fun or what change you think work better. To get a better idea of the map, I personally would add more screen shots, and maybe have somebody record game play (pinohkio). My thought on this map: It seems as if it would be easy to continually kill the attacking team, as you said, Unlimited ammo and Explosive weapons, all they would have to do is camp on the floating ramps. What I would suggest doing, is adding a soft kill boundry, so they have 10 seconds in the floating ramps. Anyways, like the idea!
I like the idea of the soft kill boundary. I have some friends who are going to help me test it out so I can continue to tweak it some more. Theres a lot of ways I can tweak it from changing damage amounts to limited ammo or things like you suggested but its just a matter of finding that sweet spot that is challenging but also not too hard.
