End Game is a large mutliplayer map ideal for the BTB, Assault and CTF gametypes. The premise of the map is very similar to Paradiso as it is on the Island part of forgeworld, and I am not very original.

    WEAPONS LIST

    DMR (x8)
    Shotgun (x2)
    Sniper Rifle (x2)
    Rocket Launcher (x2)
    Spartan Laser (x1)
    Plasma Grenade (x8)
    Concussion Rifle (x2)

    VEHICLES

    Warthog Gauss (x1)
    Warthog (x2)
    Wraith (x2)
    Falcon (x2)
    Ghost (x2)
    Mongoose (x4)

The whole concept of the map was to create a fun gameplay experience within an enclosed environment where access to the Warthog Gauss was enabled. As one of the best vehicles in the game it rarely features in competitive maps and I wanted to change that.

The bases are of a very simplistic design and act primarily as a landing pad for each teams respective Falcon and Wraith. The majority of the gameplay will be away from the bases in slayer, but during objective gameplay the design becomes all the more important as there is essentailly only one route to the point of interest increasing the difficulty of scoring.

The Falcon is a vehicle I am also very fond of, and I believe it to be fairer than the Banshee which sually features on Paradiso. The battle can be won in the skies here with the Falcon and manouvering around the mountain with attacks coming from all side is exilarating.

The Wraith again is a fairer version of the Scorpion which would usually feature. Though powerful the Wraith is slow and therefore relatively easy to destroy. Despite this however it is a fantastic counter to the Gauss Hog and keeps things in balance.

Offset from each base is a Sniper Tower, which (unsurprisingly) houses the Sniper. The positioning of these towers makes it very difficult for the opponent in particular during Assault gametypes.

Overlooking the main arena of conflict are elevated sections for each team, accessible by following the coloured strut markers on the opposite side of the map. These introduce another level to the gameplay.

The reverse side of the map links the two respective bases with a large bridge.

The tunnel which passes though the mountain and the centre of the map is exposed and possesses the Spartan Laser on low respawn. This, in addition to the low ammo Rocket Launchers, are present to counter-act the vehicle heavy map.

Above the tunnel is a teleporter which transports the user to the top of the area which houses the gauss/neutral bomb/neutral flag depending on gametype.

This area is only accessible via the top entrance through either Falcon drop, Jetpack or teletport. One way shields prevent access otherwise. Camping in this area is not a good idea however as from the top you are very succeptible to grendades amonst other things.

So there you have it. Hopefully the size of the map means that the the weapon set isn't too overpowered and that frantic and fun games await those that play this map. I hope you enjoy it.

This map looks really good for competetive CTF matches. It looks like Paradiso, but you've removed a lot of the unnesesary and unused parts, and have made some major updates to the bases. I really like the central base, and your use of pyramids and braces. My one concern is that the central-horseshoe bridge is practically begging for detail compared to the rest of this beautiful map.

Looks like you put a decent amount of work into fixing Paradiso. Do both teams have easy access to the central mountain though? In default Paradiso the bases are uneven because one team has easy access to the mountain with a nice slope while the other faces a steep cliff wall. The only issue I can see so far is the Gauss hog, wraith, falcon setup. Firstly as you already know I'm sure, the Gauss hog shoots through all structure and natural geometry. Secondly the wraith does not fair well in this environment because it is a close range tank and when you're being attacked by the fast and powerful gauss hog, and the even nimbler falcon it renders the wraith near useless. I would personally recommend replacing the gauss with a rocket hog. That would restore all the balance. The Rocket hog is a nice counter to the falcon, and is also a short range hog' when fighting ground targets which makes for great vehicular combat between the wraith and rocket hog. The bases look great though and the buildings sprawled about the island look decent. I'll have to test the map though soon...

Oh well, I'm glad you appear to have liked it. The Rocket Hog was of course a consideration, but I did want to give the Gauss Hog a trial run. The Wraith I thought was a more balanced version of the Scorpion, but I take your point.

With regard to access to the upper mountain, yes I did remedy the inbalance. There is a rock-ramp placed to enable easy access to the summit from the red side.

With regard to the bridge I suppose more effort could be made to beautify it, but I was being rather pragmatic in this instance. Perhaps I could add some style in the future? ;)

Yes, if you don't want to swap the Gauss out then you could also replace the other teams wraith with a scorpion, it would probably balance it out, otherwise I recommend swapping for the rocket hog too, as he said, it would make for some killer close quarters vehicular action, I'll dl it and give you some feedback, perhaps we could have a game?
