It is rumored that those who built these mountain-sized monuments possessed long life. If only the same could be said of you. This map feautures three destructible bridges. The spartan laser is located on the middle destructible bridge so that it is more dangerous to attain. Each base has a 60 sec. respawning destructible bridge connecting it to the island that is vehicle accessible. These can be blown up by shooting at the button(landmine) on the post facing the base. This is intended to promote tactical gameplay in CTF. Red Side Blue Side Base Interior Shotguns caves reminiscent of Valhalla Spartan Laser descending into a watery grave Sniper Rifle Spawn on cliff bridge facing base There is good vehicle and weapon balance that provide plenty of epic encounters. For example, each base has EMP weapons like the grenade launcher that can be used to cause banshees to plummet into the water surrounding the base. The sniper is placed on the receiving end of the mancannon and has a limited line of sight so that it doesn't kill map movement/vehicles. Each base has a teleporter that sends people into avalanche-like bases near the middle of the map, each with a rocket launcher and mongoose that can be effectively as a mobile weapons platform. These side bases are near the giant tube ramp on top of the central structure which is extremely fun to jump off, especially in Rocket Race. And yes, the title is based off Lord of the Rings.
