Pinball Palace Created By: x DREAM 76 x Pinball Palace is a new Pinball map that features a unique ball shooting and return mechanism! The table is very fun and challenging. The game is set to 6 minute rounds. So try your best to get a good high score! The palace features a lot of classic pinball bumpers and ramps. You never know what is going to happen next. Be on your toes for some intense and competitive pinball action! The table is set up for Red team game play. The game is two rounds. This is great for head to head play. The player who gets the higher score is the victor. There are several hidden secrets around the table. Try to find the hidden mongoose and figure out how to drive it onto the table! Look for it in the custom game and not in forge. It's more fun! This map was a challenge and fun to make. I really enjoy playing the table to see what kind of crazy things will happen. It would help if you put a description of your map. How do you score? How do you make the bumpers explode?
I wanted to make the map open to interpretation. Basically you just smash the ball with anything you can find. The game type will do the rest! A portal near the front of the table will prevent you from straying too far out. So the action can get intense. Especially later in the round when your infinite ammo starts to run out! And you have to run back to put another quarter in the slot to continue playing.
I kept seeing your forging on something called "Pinball Palace" and wondered what you were up to. The map turned out great and really blew me away with the sound effects, scoring, and "bumpers." It really is like a real pinball machine except the flippers (you) can move around anywhere at the bottom. The sound effect is probably my favorite part. Idk how you did it (I didn't try to find out), but it just completes the whole feel of a pinball machine. I also liked the little "arcade games" off to the side. The only thing I might change is to eliminate the ranged weapons. I would guess they are there so people don't get bored waiting for the ball to come back down but having only melee weapons would give the map a true authentic pinball feel. I suppose if you want that feel, you can simply not use them, though. So, not really a complaint, just nitpicking here. I was truly impressed by this Dream. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Genius.....just brilliant! I would suggest changing the focus rifle to a concussion rifle, but I haven't been able to play it yet so I'm not sure how it would work out. And how much skill is needed in this map rather than just overall luck? I actually thought about this idea while back but I assured myself it couldn't be done. The forging is really unique an the aesthetics are astounding. Great job, keep up the good work man.
Thanks. The concussion rifle is near the two arcades and the ATM by the big screen TV. There is even a spartan laser there as well. The map does take a bit of skill if you are trying for a high score. Let me know how you guys like the map!
A very creative map with an original idea. Only have three suggestions/ideas: 1.) I would put a window or platform above so that players could see the whole table and know what they should be aiming at. You could use a teleport to prevent people from actually getting down on the table. 2.) Also maybe put a clear line or marker on where you should not cross. (i.e. the limit on how far up the table you can go before it teleports you) 3.) Have a reward for a difficult shot. More points is great, but it would be really cool if you hit a bunch of mines and that released a mutli-ball like in real pinball. But overall, very well done. I especially like the ball launcher and the scoring system. Look forward to any updates to the map or future maps altogether!
I thought of the idea of a multi ball bonus! That would be so epic. If i ever make another pinball table i would like to put that in. I also like your idea of the viewing window that you could take a portal to and from.
