I'm looking for a good way to spawn (and respawn) a driveableturretless tank. I'm in the pre-dev stage of a new invasion map (testing basic mechanics and suff). I thought that a turretless tank would be an interesting uhhh..Thing of incredible importance. So anyway, i'm rambling. On to my problems of making a tank spawn w/o a turret.
-A killball wall just touching the turret while you drive through it dosn't work..everything blows up... and you die.
-spawning a tank, sliding it down a wall with a kill ball just touhing the turret dosn't work. Tank still explodes..but this time no one dies... an improvement
-My next attempt is to place a fixed mine (5 sec) and spawn a tank upsidedown above the mine so the turret hits the mine in midair, thus destroying the turret, flipping the tank right-side-up and hopefully not utterly destroying the tank. Thus making a turretless tank thak you can drive.

If anyone has any ideas, please don't keep it to yourself. Help me, but mor importantly, help the community

I have an idea, how but you make a custom gametype for it, and then go to the player movement traits, and change the vehicle use to no turret.

yes, but uhh...How are the rest of the players supposed to use the warthog, falcons and such? I'm making a very unique invasion game, And when I post the preview... you'll know why I need this turretless tank

The only think I could think of is drop spawn a fusion coil onto the turret, doing just enough damage to knock it off, then set the tank respawn to none.

Just have a mine spawn above it to fall on it.

hmm.. I've been thinking of the fusion coil method. The only problem is having one Respawn. What would a person drive the turretless one if they can just destroy it and get one with a turret. The tank spawn ON mine seems like the best option to me. I'd just like a second opinion, and a third. Possibly a fourth.

You can have a mine merged into the turret which will go off when someone enters the tank, have a fusion coil or mine fall on it or have the tank spawn and fall on a mine under where the turret is. It will be in the next Forge Tips and Tricks update whenever I get time to finish that.
If the trip mine is on 1 second respawn and spawns in the tank's turret there is no way to avoid it removing the turret. For this it would be best to have the tank in a garage of some sort so there isn't a mine sitting out in the middle of your map.

Whoever had it took it down of youtube and never put it back up even though I asked repeatedly.

This, don't necessarily need a garage just small box to cover the trip mine and turret area since both will be exploding it wont hold the tank still and 100% way of blowing up the turret.

But keep in mind the tank "health" will be a lot less.

It takes less explosive power to just blow the gun off the turret than to blow off the entire turret which in the end will leave the tank with more health.
