I was wondering if there was any way to rotate where a certain weapon spawns on a map? Say you want 1 Rocket Launcher on your map, but you want its to spawn to rotate between 3 different locations throughout your map. Is there anyway to do this having only 1 RL in play at a time?
The only way i could think of to do this would be pretty complex, look wierd, and probably not work too well to be honest. You could have a little box above the map with the rocket launcher in it, something would trigger an explosive to go off in the box at the start of a game, and it would push the rocket launcher out where it would fall onto the map, thus randomizing where it spawns. It's usually good to have a set location for a weapon anyway, so people know it's there and try to get it. Having random spawning could be confusing, but I suppose it could be interesting. Hopefully this helped somewhat.
Has anyone tested the min/max item count for weapons yet? Remember in H3 you would set the run time min of a grav lift to 1 and you destroyed the first one which was set to never respawn and a second one would respawn then on a different location on the map, usually pushing a crate to open a gate or something.
Or you could drop spawn 3 different rockets in 3 locations, but alter their spawn times and "place at start" settings to make it work. It seems difficult to get it right though.
The only effective way i could think of this working would be on one of the scrapyard remakes on halo 3. Now that there aren't any weapon holders and the gravity lift is fixed, there is no feasible way to do this on reach other than what Skisma suggested.
The max time u have for that is 3 minutes, that means all 3 rocket launchers need to spawn in the first 3 minutes, again inbetween 3 and 6, 6 to 9 and 9 to 12,...thats alot of rocket launchers on a map, even if you set it to only 2 rockets.
It is my understanding that this is exactly how you do it, but you really have no control on which location the spawn occurs. You create (for example) three spawn locations for the rockets, but set the max to 1. Therefore at any one time there is only one rocket launcher on the map. You could also, for example, have 5 spawn locations for rocket launcher, and set min to 2 and max to 3, and you will have no less than 2 and no more than 3 rocket launchers on the map at any time. My understanding is that the respawn time would come into play here.

I built a map where you spawn on a floating platform in nowhere with random start weapons and where fusion coils fall down to the battlefield killing randomly xD just placed them all over the map and set spawn max to 3, timers also a bit different so there aren't too much exploding falling objects ;P
There is something similar I have been working on . The only way I think it would work is to place at start with never respawn for first weapon and the others to not place at start, say 1 at 90 and other at 180. The other alternative is to create a man canon device and have weapon spawn above, but it is difficult to control where weapons will be placed.
