Hello all and welcome to a special map by myself. The reason the map is special is that its special to me as it has some little bits of scenery from some of the maps ive created. Also its a similar idea to my first time's trial as it incorperates a mix of different types of racetrack. This track has a mixture of rollercoaster, sky track, terrain and city. On with the pictures Now onto the references in scenery from my other maps I was on about. (images on top are from times trial 2 images below the refernce are from that actual map) Here is one of the aliens from my first map mars attacks The random boxes from my second map Kraze The Mr Rage from raging spaceships and a rage at muff mountain(theres also a hiden spaceship) From my latest map Pyramime the pyramid itself Now a video to show how it races. Time's Trial 2 - YouTube Hope you enjoy and tell me what you think love time twister500.
I like the idea of using bits and pieces of former tracks, even if it is just aesthetics. The track is forged well and is fairly difficult which keeps racers on their toes. The beginning portion is roller-coaster style and requires a decent amount of skill due to the sharp nature of the turns and the lack of rise in them. The one-way shield could have been positioned better, since you have to intend to hit it to stay on the track (if you just take the turn normally, and end up hitting the shield door, it forces you off of the other side of the track). The double wide section is also difficult because it is all off-cambered, so keeping a good racing line while maintaining your speed is quite challenging. Driving up into the pyramid is cool, but the landing always made me stop short, which isn't that big of a problem if everyone does it every time, but it does kill your momentum. Next comes the "S" turn which is basically flat, so it also takes some skill. Up to this point, the track is rather enjoyable, but the remainder of the map ruins the flow, imo. Taking that big bank turn once is fun, but three times gets old fast, especially since you just have seemingly random courses of terrain in between. These are also not marked in any way besides the checkpoints. I think it would have been better if you would have bordered the terrain at least a little, which would allow racers to see where to go and would have allowed better checkpoint placement as well. In summation, this racetrack is well forged, features some nice (and nostalgic if you've raced his other tracks) scenery, and requires enough skill to make it fun and competitive, but the fact that it abuses the checkpoint system to make racers take a turn three consecutive times leaves a bad taste in their mouth.
Thanks for the big comments its nice to read and to see you have actually been on and taken time to write this. The shield is a bit of a problem as sometimes it can help but then it can also be horrible if you hit it so its hit or miss. The jump in the pyramid i had trouble getting a great landing with it being a small space to work in but i think the landing is the best thing i could do with in the small space. For the city section and going other the turn three times is to help cause collisons when in a larger group so it may be a bit boring on your own or with a few people going over the corner a few times but with a larger party its alot more fun. Im glad you liked the track and thank you again for taking your time to write a review on what you thought of my track. Love time twister500 yeah yeah im spreading the love.
