This is a sneak peek at my next map in the Plato's Cave series, Iron Rock. I posted the Story Videos that tell the tale of the Arbiter and Plato's Cave in the Plato's Cave Part I: Outer Sectors thread.

The map is bisymmetrical. Competitive. Players count is somewhere around 10 to 12.

not sure what you mean by orange feel, but i do like how the orange looks on rocks, and it feels right. Plato's Cave feels orangish brown to me...

Wow I love the look of this but I reckon it would look better if you swapped those floor blocks in the second image for the underside of some bridges.

I've found that water flowing over blocks like you have there can cause severe framerate problems. Lights near or in water can also cause severe framerate problems. I don't even want to see what would happen combining those two things with 12 players. Since you don't have much glass around and those objects on their own are minimal framerate contributors you may not have problems, but yOu will definitely need to watch out for framerate issues there.

excellent points. i always watch for framerate issues no matter the situation. i am a minimalist when it comes to forge. i tend to optimize my levels for maximum size. (i use the biggest objects first, then slowly as the map comes to completion i replace floors and walls with whatever better looking objects i have left.)

good points though. to test framerate i always run the perimeter of my maps and focus on the center, or dense areas. no fr problems on this map, and i'm confident i won't have any.

PS: even some of the things you see in these images have changed slightly
