I dont see why not, as long as this guy gets enough supporters and assistant for reviewing the maps there should be no issue.

Myself- I dont have time anymore to forge for things like this, but I dont have any problem with the contest.

This just doesn't seem like a enough though was put into it. When does this end? Will there be a map submission thread? How will the maps be judged based on what criteria?

Block pieces don't really breed creativity, I mean there sole purpose is to make maps. Its not like the 2x2 bank contest where it was a unique piece people don't often think to use when making maps.

I mean as a small contest you want to run by yourself I suppose you can do anything but running a contest is very hard. You have to stick by your deadlines, give each map submitted its due time, and is a major suckage of personal time.

And so it begins. The era of every member who has a half-thought out idea, turning it into a contest. It's a shame to see these contests take away overall creativity and try to instead, shove it all into one area/style of forge.

Soon, all these contests will start to overshadow one another. It will just become a blur of random contests thrown everywhere. Oh well, since you've already started it's not likely you'll stop. In my opinion, the prizes are just not worth the effort. If I really wanted a signature or picture down for a map, I would simply go into the G&A subforum and ask one of the multiple talented people who call it home.

Anywho, good luck with the contest.

Judging from the banner for this contest I'm not sure if I want a signature made by you. :|

It appears contests have evolved to breed through human hosts.
    It's the contepocalypse.

Im sorry to say I'd have to agree with the contest not being a good idea, minus the harshness of my fellow ForgeHubbers, mind you. At the moment there is too many contests happening, and one just ended less than a week ago. My advice? Think the rules/parameters/guidelines through more thoroughly, run them by multiple people to get feedback, give it about a month or two, and then try to get people interested again. Give all the Forgers a little more time to replenish their creative glands before they excrete the juices from their talented pores and various orifice..s...

And yeh, try to think of something a little more creative than the Building Block section. You'd be surprised what people could do with just those objects. As there is a fair amount of variety in those pieces, it just doesn't seem to be something of a challenge.

By the way, don't take any of this as an insult, its honest feedback that you should take in your stride and use constructively. :)

Good contest. Wrong time. I just passed through like 5 pages to look for the coliseum wall contest submission thread to see the submissions (I'm a judge, not a creeper) and saw like 3 other contests on my way. Is the large amount of contests because of the bank contest and $5000 budget contest? I like the idea, but there are way too many contests out now. Try in a month, maybe?
