I had a go a creating a never say die records inspired album art. Comments and criticism are appreciated:
i think it would look better if it was simplified and altered in these ways: - no splatters - no blue line thingy wrapping around behind it - frontal view of skull cenetered within black diamond thing but, i do not think it is bad, i just think it needs refinement.
I think it looks pretty nice. The skull's edges look a little blurry. What did you use to crop it out? I normally use the polygonal lasso tool, not the magnetic lasso tool or the quick selection tool. Those two normally come out edged. Anyways, nice simple design, the blue look s a little like it's something from the 90s. I kinda like the splatter effects.
I am wholly a fan of this piece. Not much that I think needs fixing, just maybe a little refinement on the edges of the skull like ER1C0 said. Maybe.
The splatters and "Blue line thingy" go along with all their other album covers. I think it fits well. The only problem I'm seeing is the blurry edges and I have no clue what animal's skull that is.
So wait so remove everything and leave the skull, black square and background? How about, thats what kinda makes the album art... I used like the magnetic laso, freehand rubbing out and edge blurring so get it right. Probs shouldn't have done the edge blurring. Thanks. Lol its funny cos that looks like a recording of what I actually did.
That's a bad idea, like I said, use the polygonal lasso tool, it'll come out with much better results.
