to many power wepons

    ok so im in the testing stage of my new map and i need help with wepons. the map is built up on the quarry.

    Sniper: 160 secs/ x2 clips
    Energy Sword: 140 secs
    Rocket Launcher: 180 secs/ x1 clips
    Shotgun: 120 secs/ x1 clips
    Concusion Rifle: 95 secs/ x2 clips


    if you guys think thats to much weapons for a map thats built up on the quarry post the feedback, thanks.

    It all really depends on the layout of the map, but quarry does seem a little small to contain all of those...

    How many players is this intended for? What is the map like designwise?

    My general rule of thumb is this- if a map is designed for 4 or less players, give it two power weapons which have different roles, like sniper/rockets or shotgun/focus rifle, as examples.

    If a map is designed for 8-12 players I would advise three power weapons that yet again fill different roles. For example my favorite matchmaking map Precipice by our very own Draw the Line has a shotgun, a sniper rifle and a grenade launcher, all of which fufill different roles in gameplay. Another tactic for 4v4 maps is to have two weapons which fufill similar roles, Countdown for example has a shotgun and a sword for close range combat, plus a concussion rifle to help you counter those weapons. It's not just about how many you have but how they interact with each other.

    Out of what you've posted, I'd guess you'll get better gameplay from some of the following-

    Sniper/Shotgun/Rockets

    Rockets/Sword/Concussion Rifle

    etc, rather than just throwing in five.

    Thanks for the advice guys so what i think im gonna go is sniper, rockets, sword and x0 clips shotgun thanks.
