I am curious how the NR will work in new playlists even if it's not in matchmaking it can be used in customs. If the NR is unchanged the DMR will be hands down better but the NR can be a DMR replacement in gametypes where you want all weapons on equal ground but if it goes bloomless and stays automatic its hard to imagine how it will handle.
I'm just guessing that a bloomless precision weapon will mean that there will be set rates of fire. The speed that the gun can fire will vary on its strength. That's just a prediction, however.
I liked it, because i suck so much with the BR, it's not even funny, i could never get any kills with it.
I will be the first to admit that I have not read through all the posts, so this could have already been asked. Are we certain that the DMR has its bloom removed? The only reason i ask is that I was watching some videos from Halo fest and it looked like the DMR still had bloom in those videos. Anyways, just a question and sorry if it has already been stated.
In the Anniversary Multiplayer panel they did confirm that bloom will be configurable and, at least in the beta hoppers, it will be completely absent from headshot weapons, i.e. DMR, pistol, Needle Rifle etc. The video you might have seen might have been on the new firefight map Installation 04. The bloom update will not affect firefight or campaign.
I might be mistaken, and that is a good possibility, but I could have sworn that I was watching the battle creek remake footage, and the reticle on the DMR was still expanding. I will have to watch the video again and see.
