Sandbar - works well for 1v1 or 2v2 Slayer but support up to 8 players Sandbar was originally designed as a map for 1v1. When first designing the map i wanted to make a miniature version of the halo 2 map Relic. its basically a small island with a wall or *bar* across the middle, which gives players cover from both sides. this is my first map i have posted on forgehub so please download and give me any feedback, i will be posting more maps shortly.
looks very nice and clean but the environment is dull and boring and hardly looks like you used any budget ........ i can't download right now but it doesn't look close to finished if you have budget may i suggest having a base or two because it looks like it can support it and something decorative on the sides.... ill leave it at needs a V2
thanks for the quick feedback :] yeah there is alot more to the budget, could add more coverage, maybe a hovering covenant pad. also there is some framerate lag that could be fixed. i will forsure make a v2! p.s. can u guys see the thumbnail picture of my map in the thread posts?
no, cant see the pic. And the map, It seems actually pretty could, you woldnt really need to add more stuff, but I dont see any weapons. Go back and make a weapons. A Covie Tower is pretty much all this map needs. and weapons
"Aww, look at the cute little map!" It does remind me of relic, which was an awesome map in Halo 2. Unfortunately, what most don't understand is that H2 maps play horribly on reach. I dont know about a 1v1 with a ghost on the map though. It just seems a little OP Also, you should add a list of the weapons on the map to the thread so we know what is on the map.
Ok, sorry for The Late post i will try to use Some of your Guys ideas and probably remove The Ghost, but what of The warthog?(you can Kinda See The warthog turret in The Third pic above The Rock) Maybe make a covenant Pad on One Side and Move The warthog to The adjacent Side, Maybe Even a mongoose? Although a mongoose Might Be useless on this Map. I wont have Time to make additions to The Map for a month or so As i am currently Away from my Xbox and my Home. Ok i will now post a weapons List from What i remember. -2x dmr, 1 on each starting Side -4x Plasma Grenades ( 2x on each Side Next to The dmr) -2x Plasma Pistols, 1 on each Side of The Base -1x shotgun Inside The Base -1x sniper on The "Water" Side -1x Focus rifle on The "Wall" Side -1x rocket near The "Wall" Side (with 2 shots of ammo and 180 respawn) -2x Health Packs Inside each Side of The base I think thats all. This is still The only Map ive Posted here on forgehub As i have been Away. All The Maps that i would like to post tho are all in my fileshare, so feal free to Download them and rate. I look the general layout ,but space is underused and needs more aesthetics. Maybe add more structures right next to the wall and some cover too.
Looks really nice, I could instantly see relic in the main structures design. I would agree though with the others, I would simply use the entire area and create bases around it as well each similiar distances from the main structure. It seems like you understand how to make unique clean buildings, so Id love to see something more added to it this would also improve the chances of vehiculuar combat being much more fun.
