Hello there fellow forgers, I proudly present you my first Halo: Reach competitive map: Council. Council is a symmetric map designed on the layouts of Heretic from Halo: 3 made by me, x Freakout zZ. This beauty took nearly 3 days to forge and a day to set up the gametypes. I first started this map for a friend's clan but when I saw how it ended up, I wanted to share it with all of you because I thought it was pretty great Here are the weapons in the map: -2 Needlers / 30 sec. -5 DMRs / 30 sec. -4 Plasma nades / 30 sec. -6 Frag nades / 15 sec. -2 Magnums / 30 sec. -4 ARs / 30 sec. -1 Sniper / 120 sec. -2 Needle rifles / 30 sec. -There is also 3 health packs on the map. 1 in each base and 1 in the single level alley My map have been made to support those gametypes : -Team Slayer (do not do FFA, there is only blue and red spawns) -Neutral Assault -Multiflag -Headhunter -Oddball -KoTH -Stockpile -3-Plots or 3 territories, whatever its called... You should allways play with blue and red team on or else you'll spawn out of the map. This is actually an amazing first map! You have the potential to become a great forger. A little more experience and help and you'll be famous in no time! You may want to work on nuetral spawns so people can play FFA on this.
This map reminds me of Citadel from Halo 3 more than Heretic. The design looks pretty nice. Looks like it would play well. The floor doesn't look right to me. The merging is a bit weird. The brace larges and the 2x4 blocks don't look that nice. The red and blue lights are also in the way. You should bring them up into the ceiling so they don't interfere with gameplay. Overall this map looks very nice. I hope that you take my advice into consideration and fix up the map.
Question. How much money do you have left? The only reason I ask is because are those brace larges needed? I say this because using a lot of brace larges for floors can get annoying in gameplay, because grenades just don't seem to bounce right on them! So, if you have the money/materials I would think about replacing as much of the brace large flooring as you can! Just my opinion though! Anyways, seems like a solid first map! Most defiantly has a mid ship feel! Great job!
Is there z-fighting on all those large braces as floors? (Where the items flicker because they are at the same height) If so that could be a massive problem...
