Hello, I'm going to be helping to run a part of the FLAG Tournament at Halofest later this week and we'd like to have a Forge contest as part of this tournament.

I'd love to hear about or see some maps that you guys think would be a good fit for such a contest. I'm looking for four different maps + gametypes that will take about 20-30 minutes each. We have two hours, so I'd like to get four separate groups of people into these forge maps. Something like the mini-games that I've seen would probably be the best bet.

So, what do you guys think would work best in that situation? I humbly submit myself to the experts. Thanks!

Are you looking for default CTF maps or some kind of mini-games involving CTF? If it's the latter, you could look into RPAL's Stealin' Your Flags. I think it's Stockpile, but I've heard it's a lot of fun.

Pretty much any mini-game. Doesn't have to be CTF or any other gametype-oriented. Just something that's fun and easy to understand. Doesn't even need to involve 16 players, if it's an individual challenge that's fine. We can have everyone start at the same time.

    Thanks!

Stealin your flags would be great. Depending on how much coordination people have, and how easily they can do logical stuff, cawk blawkin would also be a good choice. Avalanche might be good for a while, but it can get boring quickly. I have not played battleships myself but I have heard it is quite fun. Speed is another good game for the little kid in you but it can get boring quickly like avalanche. crashup derby can be really fun but you might have trouble getting people away from it.

CloneBall? =P It's a minigame where you score points with holograms. You can have any number of players you want, and it is team-based. It is fairly easy to play as well.
