Viaduct Oddly this is familiar to you, as if from an old dream, but you can't exactly remember... 6-12 players. Teaser Picture Fly Around Map Description Viaduct is a map essentially inspired by Narrows. Similarities between the maps are the placement of the sniper below each base, the man cannon's (only being present, not their functionality), and the fact that it's a bridge. I set out to build a bridge that was perfectly symmetrical (I'm not a big person on symmetry). Apart from one or three sneaky spawn points, I achieved symmetry on the map. Viaduct is designed for team play and has not been tested for free-for-all. All gametypes except Invasion, Race, and Territories are set up. The bases are comprised of a single level, fairly open area that is raised slightly in the back and lowers towards the mancannon platform. Weapons in the base include two DMR's, a plasma repeater, an assault rifle, and a grenade launcher. From the base, there are three exits: on the top of the bridge, below the bridge (taking a path on the left side of the base), and the mancannon (which will quickly take them to the center of the map. If the player travels across the top of the bridge, the weapons between the base and middle available include a needler and a needle rifle. Half way between the base and the middle is a pathway on the left that will take the player to the opposing team's mancannon landing spot or the bottom middle. Alternately, the player can continue straight to the center structure. If the player travels from the base down to the bottom section of the bridge, they will find a sniper rifle waiting in a similar spot to that of the one on Narrows. Halfway between the sniper and the middle resides the magnum. If the player reaches the bottom middle of the map, they will find the rocket launcher waiting for them. Branching perpendicularly off from the middle of the bottom bridge are two walkways that curve and head back toward the bases. On them the player will find a plasma pistol. If this path is followed, the player will find themselves back in the bridge between the base and the middle. In the middle of the map, below the silly room that snuck in while I wasn't looking (kidding) is the gravity hammer and the two plasma grenades. Within the silly room are the neutral objective spawns. In perpendicular fashion to the center platform are the landing platforms for each team. On the landing platform rests the concussion launcher. From the landing platform the player can travel toward one base (opposite team from the mancannon), head to the center of the map, or risk a jump to the bottom middle of the map. Set up for infection is a fairly gimmicky system that I thought might be fun. For havens, instead of having an invincibility effect, I decided that it would be more fun to let the player pick up weapons. So in essence what I created were weapons stockpiles that one has to be in to pick up. I made a gametype but without refinement it's fairly unbalanced in the zombies favor. The basic setup for a gametype is just only allowing the humans in the havens to be able to pick up weapons and denying humans outside of a haven this ability. Nice map, reminds me of Assault on the Control room from Halo CE . The map is alright but you should, in my opinion, post pictures with a website like ImageShack instead of links. Anyway, I download your map as I type
