    Hi all,

Just finished up my forge map of a Ninja Warrior course not long ago and wanted to post it for the world to see and attempt themselves! If anyone watches Ninja Warrior on G4, you'll recognize some of the obstacles, though they are sometimes difficult to create in Halo so, I just had to go with my own vision of it, such as the Spider Jump, hehe. Here's the links:

Post any comments or suggestions, especially if something doesn't work...lol. I've tested it a lot, ESPECIALLY one of the obstacles which involves a golf ball container...that caused a lot of problems early on but I came up with a complete re-design of it and it works consistently now...took forever though!

    Anyway, enjoy!

Looks like another fun obstacle course to add to my collection. I love the check point system, instead of having to die, it is like an instant respawn thanks to the teleporters. If i find any breaks, or have criticisms after i play it, ill add them. Good job.

Love the show, very cool. My first map forged is called Ninja Warrior Mongoose so I can appreciate what you've done here based on that. Good job!

Yeah, that Ninja Warrior show has inspired quite a few Forgers, myself included!

I like how you really went with it--designing the map like a real course, with the ramps having actual supports coming up from the sea.

I'm a bit confused--the golf ball was only supposed to be a timer, forcing you to beat those jumps in a certain amount of time? It works, I grant you that, but I wish there was a simpler way to put it together. Maybe make it so you could snipe the mines from the start of that section (but build it so it's ONLY from that spot), but they respawned after 40 seconds or whatever. Just a thought!

Is this your first obstacle course? It's a great start. Keep at it, not many people are making good obstacle courses lately. It's a shame!

At the golf ball part if you time it right you can jump into the chute, go down the ramp, off the man cannon, and jump from the top of the spiral to the end of that part. So you shuold probably fix it

    Thanks guys!

    Petetheduck -

I've heard about you from a few people ;) You've done some great stuff as well! This IS my first obstacle course. Basically, I downloaded a Ninja Warrior course one day while randomly browsing through file shares on Bungie, and it was terribly put together so, I wanted to make a better one.

It makes me happy that you noticed the supports for the platforms! Making it LOOK as real as I could was exactly the idea I was going for hehe. I didn't want everything just floating in the air... Unfortunately I ran out of funds and/or quantity for some pieces so, I wasn't able to give support to everything (like the Spider Jump...I think I left that one floating...can't even remember, lol). Perhaps I could have though if I made the Golf Ball Race simpler, as you suggested. I would have been able to delete a lot of stuff there... I'll definitely keep in mind that simpler can be better in some cases hehe. I invested a ton of time into that golf ball container though so, I just didn't wanna get rid of it... I went through quite a few iterations of that because it was so inconsistent... Balls were getting stuck, 2 or 3 at a time were dropping at once, etc... I couldn't give up on it! :p

Thank you for the feedback, I am aware of that little part. I didn't fix that area though because I figured that if people are trying to do the course, they won't be trying to do that hehe. I know there are also some areas where you can sprint-jump outside the range of the teleporters, die in the water and respawn at the golf ball race but, if you're not looking for ways to cheat then, there shouldn't be any problems (i hope). ;)

You can commit suicide on the first part. Then the respawn takes you to the part where you have to shoot the mine for the golf ball to fall. But I like the whole teleporter concept.

apart from the golf ball race being hard :( you can jump into the golf ball passage and pass on to the next bit skipping the whole obsticle if there are two players in the game you can also get one person to assasin the other skipping three obsticles
