About the Map: I started this back in May and it has been a pick up/put down project for a little while. I always thought the 'ship' from Phase 1 Boneyard was a fun play-space so I decided to give a crack at sectioning off just the ship. Not an easy task with the forge that Boneyard has to offer. Shield Doors and Stunt ramps, that is what Boneyard has to offer. Yet I plucked away at it and this is what I have come up with. Boneyard 4v4 set up for one-sided objective game-types. One Flag and One Bomb only. I mean I guess you could play slayer on it but that's not what I was thinking. Attacker Spawn-Bomb spawn-Flag 'go-to. Defenders Spawn-Flag location-Bomb Destination. Teleporters-Both Teleporters bring to the same location, The walkway above the bulkheads. I tried to place the senders equidistant from the initial spawns. They are a strait left from the initial spawns Spoiler Attacker Not a good picture I know And Defenders In the Bottom right corner in the Photo above. The Receiving Node Along each end of the walkway is a melee weapon. One side there is a Hammer and the Other is a sword. One the sword side I closed off the nook room along with half of the top of the ramp. Spoiler Below is the Hammer on the ledge Here is the Sword and the closed off room Man-cannons. Like walking up on the pipes? Cool take either the Attacking side cannon up in bay 4. There isn't anything up there and jumping isn't that good either, its just a nice sneaky path where if a confrontation is met its going to be the fastest most accurate player that will be the victor. or Alternatively the setup on the defending side. So, it is possible to ride the first lift into the second lift onto the top layer or just land on the staircase and along the ship for the lone shotgun. Player choice. Spoiler Again I tried to place the shotgun (pictured above) in the middle between each team. Its all running for the blue team where the red team needs to take the first gravity lift. Here is a long shot of this side of the ship. With the Defending Cannon on the left side with the Attacking teleporter on the right (its behind a wall. its there though). Spoiler And finally this side again from underneath the Attacking Teleporter Spoiler There is a sniper on the ground in the best middlish spot I could figure it can barely be seen on these pictures, its in the doorway beneath Bay 1 on the right and the left respectfully. Spoiler Weapon Summary: DMRs-4 Magnums-2 Needle Rifles-4 Needlers-2 Shotgun-1 Sniper-1 Sword-1 Hammer-1 Grenades and Plasma Grenades-Not positive, they are scattered around like sprinkles on cake. Final Note-Because I figured people would be able to handle themselves without jumping over somehow, I put kill zones for the wiseguys. Thank you for your time.
I actually like this idea a lot. Making btb maps into smaller maps. Are you going to do this with Spire, Breakpoint, Highlands, ect.
Thanks, I think there is alot of potential in the non-forge world maps for downsizing/ alterations. I've thought about it and I've had some idea's, but nothing has formed out of it. Multiflag in Phase 1 of Spire (turned sideways), Maybe A FFA objective (Koth, Headhunter, Oddball) in Breakpoints Phase 1 (there is a decent amount of rocks in the forge pallet). Highlands I thought about eliminating the red and blue bases and having just the middle section the playspace (one team in in the building by the waterfall the other across by the motor pool). Again, there are just initial ideas I was more focused on finishing this and seeing if anybody had anything constructive to say.
