After finishing Cartogropher, I started to think about how useful the Halo CE campaign is for making multiplayer maps. Starting at the very beginning, the pillar of autumn, I began to visualise how elements would play. Then I struck gold yet again. The pillar of autumn as a level. This would be compatable with BTB, invasion and infection. With BTB, it is fairly obvious. With invasion, the elites will be defending as they try to stop the humans from escapaing. Phase one could be escape the bridge, phase two start the ship self-destructing and the last stage boarding the escape pods OR The spartans could be defending as the elites first take the boarding room, then another area of the ship, and finally blow up the bridge. (please give your thoughts on those two) With infection, the humans must make their way from the bridge to the escape pods. I am looking for somebody who could help me co-forge this. I may delay cartogropher and release a Combat Evolved map pack!
Hey I actually made an invasion map based around the first level and a half of Halo CE. It is now currently in testing but plays very well and looks great. Just wanted you to know so down the road there is no issue with people saying one of us copied the other's idea. I can show you some screenshots or the map itself at some point if you want some inspiration.
