Map Name: Firing Range Map Summary: Firing Range is a Spartan live fire training ground. Trained to be accurate and fast, trainees run through the course as fast as possible eliminating 24 targets for the fastest times. Only the fastest Spartans have what it takes to lead teams and be effective. This map is a single player challenge map based on the pit simulation from Modern Warfare 2. There are a total of 24 targets all very clear with the exception to the one behind the machine gun turrets. There are 5 territories to capture. The gametype allows players to pick a starting weapon, DMR, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, or Shotgun. The pistol is always the secondary as is sprint being the only armor ability. Players start with 2 frag grenades as well. The gametype is a simple land capture gametype with 1 sec capture times to keep things moving. I use the postgame average life to determine how the total elapse time of completion. Pictures (To provide the layout): Let's Begin: Phase 1: 4 targets Phase 2: Breaching the Room:1 target inside. 3 targets on the roof. Phase 3: 4 targets Phase 4: 2 targets in the building Phase 5: 3 targets (1 blows up the warthog) Spring to the finish: Have fun and feel free to post your top times!
its true that you can cheat. I wish there's a way around that without minimizing the amount of targets. This map was just a fun way for me to practice transitioning from targets on the fly. I hope people play by the honor system. If you guys know of a way around this please let me know.
This is a pretty cool map. You could set it up for Haloball to prevent cheating: - Set the labels for all of the land mines to SKEE_BALL_OBJECT - Have an Objective Marker with a shape covering the entire map, label it HB_GOAL, and set it to spawn right before the game ends. This way, your score is the amount of land mines left.
Wow, you are absolutely right. Thanks for the great help. I fix this up as soon as possible! [br][/br]Edited by merge: There's only one problem though. I want time to be a factor as well. Is there a way to count the score when the tripmines are detonated?
