Crevice 1.0 (Shifted Map Pack)

    This is the first of three maps in The Shifted Map Pack released July 13th, 2011.

    This map is focused more on the vertical scale of battle. A gravlift and teleport on the left side make traveling between floors fast. There are multiple ways to climb to the 3rd floor where the best view point is as well as the rocket launcher.

    This looks BEAST, reminds me of cargo port. One thing that I would suggest though is that you put the rocket in a less open spot, and instead put something like the shotgun there. A ranged power weapon like that seems like it would be overkill, because it has such a good view. Other than that, I think that this map has lots of vertical combat, with a lot of different paths that you can take (That's good). Overall, I would give it a 9/10. :)

    thanks. i put the rockets up there cuz its a mad dash for the top. i get ur point tho since it is a great spot for kills. ill get some more feed back and prolly move the rockets in 1.1

    This map has good cover from the sheer layout of the map. Overall it's a very well executed multi-level map, but I feel the top is a little overpowered since there are only 2-3 ways up, and the rocket should definitely be at the bottom open area of the map IMO. One other thing didn't make sense to me: right next to one of the grav lifts is a 2-way portal that takes you to a higher level than the grav lift. In order to get more use out of both ways up, I would move the teleporter somewhere a little further away, and maybe just make it one-way (upwards). Anyway nice map, good aesthetic theme throughout.

    This map looks like is has some potential. I'll have to load it up and see how it plays!

    I just played it and IT IS AWESOME!!! its plays very very very well and reminds me of halo 1 and halo 2 maps. i love the multiple levels. only thing i noticed is hard kill zone height might be alittle too low. but it isnt a problem.

    im a big fan of your work and this is one of my favorites.

    This looks so good! Really brilliant map. There's some things that is a bit weird, like the human turret in pic 5. It faces a crate, and it seems that it won't be used stationary, only mobile. The seastack rock in the middle also looks a bit strange.

    the turret is there for looks since its the cargo platform, but it also doubles as a mobile turret. the turret didnt work anywhere else. this insperation for this map was prisoner from halo ce... even though it didnt come out like it, i wanted to do a map with elevation.

    i also had to use a seastack rock because there was a natural rock already there that looked weird... the stack also provides cover.
