    Welcome to my 1st Reach Map:
    Mechanism[​IMG]

    Mechanism is a forunner style structure made for 4v4 competitive game play. It is symmetrical. In the play tests there was no issues with the spawning. Since I am new to forge the weapons may or may not be a challenge. In the play tests there was no issue in the weapons so I would say it is balanced. It is made for both Slayer and Team Slayer, King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, and Infection. In Capture the Flag the teleporters are blocked off.

    Assault Rifles - 2x
    Needle Rifles - 2x
    Magnums - 2x
    DMRs - 4x
    Grenade Launchers - 2x
    Shotguns - 2x
    Plasma Repeaters - 2x
    Gravity Hammer - 1x
    Plasma Pistols - 2x
    Rocket Launcher - 1x
    Health Packs - 6x

    This actually looks pretty sweet. I'm a little concerned about framerate issues though. The blue lights as well as other objects that have lights tend to do that. There also seems to be some bumps in the flooring here and there. Oh, and, in your Weapon List, it's "Rifles", not "Riffles." I'll add this to my download list for a closer look. Great job for your first Reach Map though! I love the aesthetic pieces that you used.

    Thank you and in the game tests the lights and the lag were not a problem.

    Thanks for letting me Playtest, This Map Works Absolutely great for a nice 2v2 or 4v4!

    hmm, I dont recall any lag issues though. But then again everyone has their own connections.

    5/5!

    Btw, be sure to post the other gametypes, Infection, CTF, and KOTH.

    Thank you for the help you put in with the spawns and I have to say the game play on it was nice tonight.

    i'm not lying when i say this looks very well built, and i will be checking this out, my first thought thought would be to bump up the hall ways one more step. they look a little crowded. i'll be back with more feedback!

    I actually agree with Mr.Guiness. The Hallways seem a little low and tight.

    If you block the line of sights a little more and remove the gravity hammer possibly, you could have a good map going on here. I like the use of the dishes as a center platform and the way you used the inclines but also the top of the map is open and if you just raise up the 2nd floor a couple more meters and add cover here and there, you will have a good playing map.

    Should I remove the Rockets or the Gravity Hammer?

    If you are going for competitive I would take out both. If the map is just to have a good time then they are fine. Gravity hammer isn't an issue for me personally because you can survive a hit if you do it right.

    I feel like there is more competitive maps with Rockets on it then Gravity Hammers. If I were to remove the Gravity Hammer should I leave the middle spot open with no weapon or a different weapon, if so, what weapon?

    Great to see a map which doesn't look like a paintball course; I loved how you kept up the aesthetic the whole way through. As for the gravity hammer/rocket launcher debate, how about moving the gh on top of the discs and an ability below? I do think the two in such close proximity are rather dangerous.

    Im not going to lie im a little jealous of this beauty! i would have to agree with sugar tho, the top area seems like it needs more cover. more specifically the last picture is what makes me think that. anyways nice map bro i can twait to see if you tweak this at all

    Overall I would have to say that I really like this map. I like the layout a lot, especially the dishes in the center and the glass sails, and I like how you used teleporters and grav lifts as decoration. I did however have 2 questions. First off, is there a particular reason you have the plasma batteries embedded in the wall down by the hammer? And secondly, I see in your pictures that you have the teleporter's un-hidden, but in the one I downloaded they are still behind the wall...are you planning on taking the walls out? I think they would tie the whole map together and give a little bit of a Warlock type feel to your map. Other than that I really like your map and can't wait to test it out with some friends...

    To answer your questions
    1. It was supposed to be a decoration. In the V2 map I think I am going to remove them.
    2. If you are playing Capture the Flag, the teleporters are blocked off.

    For this being your first forge map, this is outstanding, I like the circular feel of the map, as well as the aesthetics and originality of it. It play very well for small to medium team games. Keep up the good forging.
