Well, Stevo has finally given me a chance in the big leagues in the world of video editing. I will hopefully be editing all recap videos up until the semi finals, when it is up to the other fantastic editors here at Forge Hub to take the helm of providing some recap videos for you guys. Once my reign of terror is over if you could show me some love at my youtube channel located here or just pop in to say hi, it would be very much appreciated!

If you would like to know a small bit about my style of editing, here's my philosophy; I don't bother using effects or transitions of the sort. If my video requires gimmicky effects to be entertaining, then the content isn't good, and theres no point having that video at all.

Anyway, onto the ulterior motive for this thread :O

As a person who has played an instrument for seven years, I find music a very important part of the editing experience. And who better to ask than you guys? (well, a lot of people, but they are washing their hair for the next few months)

The music I am looking for is some kind of soft, smooth and easy going music. All suggestions are welcomed.

Good luck, and enjoy the throwdown!

Definitely looking forward to seeing what you can do;) Also, is this supposed to be posted? I thought Stevo wanted things about Throwdown Media to be on the down low, could be wrong though..

I think we should use music that isn't copyrighted in any way shape or form, it's more professional.

I think we need some muthafuckin Lady GaGa.

No joke, I would be impressed if you can somehow utilize music from her.

I would also love you forever.

Lots of people love me (aka myself) so try harder next time :)

I could edit something to her, although that is something I fairly often do, so I am not really looking to have editing in turn with the music so heavily.

    But nice picture bro.

    +1

You don't need more then free background music for a recap video anyways.

Idk it might be very generic 'Video music' but I would pick:

    - Ghosts n stuff by deadmau5

    - Club foot by Kasabian

    - Strobe (club edit) by deadmau5

That or the inception trailer song

Chillstep (chilled drum n bass/dubstep for all you nubs). Thats pretty much what Im using for my share of the map preview videos for the competition.

Yeah if its just gonna background music deadmau5 has a good range. I dont like his stuff as a main thing but for light chilled music in the background it works like a charm.

Or, someone could simply create the song. In the end it just adds professionalism.

Well then, any good non-copyrighted songs?

Just as a quick update, I will be using Forget me now at some stage. I have written to the creator asking for express written consent for the music, so no copyrights will get in our way :)
