What is This , You Say?

Well my friends, this is a pretty simple concept. We are goign to be playing Halo: Reach for charity. Now what charity are we going to support? How about the #1 charity for gamers! That's right all proceeds collected from the donations are being given to Child's Play! So now your wondering, "How can I help, if I can't donate money?". Well let me answer that totally rhetorical question.

What Can I Do to Help?

Well the best thing you can do is donate. As said before, all of the proceeds go to Child's play and you can donate, securely, using "Chip In" on the official event site, charity.xforgery.com/. However, if you can't donate money for some reason or another, you can still help out with the cause.

The main Idea behind this event was to move away from the traditional charity raising gaming events. Normally, the charity event is a few guys in their basement playing for a little time. This time though, you can participate in the event as well. On the website we have a list of hosts, who you can send a message to when the event starts and play with them, being livestreamed the whole time.

When/How is this Going to Go Down?

First of all, the event is going to be taking place from Friday, August 5 to Sunday, August 7. That entire weekend, the dedicated hosts will be playing whenever they are on. All you need to do is send them a message, and wait for an opening. Most of the hosts will be playing certain types of games, such as competitive, minigames, racing, matchmaking, etc.

    Prizes?!?!

Did I mention you can win cool things as well? I'm goign to take this straight from the creator's mouth.
    There ya go... PRIZES!!!!

As I've said before, I plan on helping out with this by hosting; I've already messaged Null on XF and I'm waiting for a reply.

Sorry I never messaged you back, you've been listed as a host for a while now.

You can just message me here if you'd like, I've been checking often because I'm working with a couple of people here to coordinate stuff for the marathon.

For sure I'll be attending this event. The whole way through, if possible.

Unfortunately I'm going out on a week-long camping/hunting trip tomorrow with a few friends, so I won't be able to participate on the first, and probably second, day. I'll try my best to get on on the 7th, but I can't make any promises.
Really nice thing going on here. I wish the best of luck fragging some noobs on live. Also, don't forget the celebratory crouching!

Child's play is a dumb charity. I'd much rather give video games to starving kids in Africa.

Wouldn't it make more sense to give them food? Video games aren't edible, you know.

OT: Xbox controller is currently broken. Sorry, I'm out.

I don't see how that makes any sense at all.

They're starving African children. If we gave them video games instead of food, there wouldn't be any African children left.
